Cons: Sound proofing, walls between rooms and carpet in lift area to muffle sound of footfall Not vacuuming the hallways at 8 in the morning!
Location: Covent Garden and theatreland right on the doorstep. An easy walk to lots of places and tube stations.
The standard double room was poky; you’d struggle to fit 2 people in. I had checked the room facilities on-line before setting off but, despite being listed, there was no fridge or iron. I could live without the latter and went out in a creased top to my fancy dinner, but the lack of the former was annoying. There was no non-hanging storage so I ended up using my suitcase balanced on the folding luggage rack as a chest of drawers (taking up more of the limited floor space). The hair-dryer is screwed to the wall in the wardrobe, and is one of those irritating underpowered things where you have to hold the button down in order to get it to blow. Whilst there was a mirror on the back of the door and the cord was just about long enough, there was no suitably positioned lighting directly above. It was noisy. Not only from the street, which one expects in London, but also in the corridor outside the room. Unfortunately I’d been placed opposite the lift, which is never great, but instead of carpet to muffle the sound of footsteps some bright spark has put a tiled floor in that section and as a consequence the clopping of shoes coming and going was amplified. On my last night I could hear the chap in the room next to mine snoring loudly, even through my earplugs!

Cons: Bigger rooms. Windows that open.
Location: Location perfect for Covent Garden / SoHo / China Town.
Great location right on Seven Dials, the lobby is spacious, mood music and room scents. Lobby staff are approachable and engaging. The room though was tiny - marginally bigger than the normal double bed. Windows won't open, aircon is adjustable but intrusive given size of room - not that we planned to use the room much but an uncomfortable and stuffy night.

Location: Theater, shopping, restaurants. Very quiet neighborhood near Leicester square, Soho, and Covent Gardens.
Room was suitable after paying upgrade for largest suite that the hotel had. The hotel staff was helpful in moving us to the new room after 3 days into the stay. However there were stains that appeared to be body fluids on the sofa in the sitting area making it less than desirable to sit on. Apple TV constantly freezing and requiring to change the channel in order to get the TV to play. EXCELLENT and VERY HELPFUL STAFF.

Location: There were nice little tucked away courtyards situated around this area such as, Neal's Yard and St Martins. Eat at The Ivy but book in advance.
The Radisson Blu in Mercer Street is a fantastically located hotel for the West End theatres and the area around is extremely pleasant. Staff were very helpful and our superior double, although on the small side was located at the back and was lovely and quiet, there was good attention to detail and the cleanliness could not be faulted. We did eat in the restaurant attached (Scoff & Banter) which had a nice atmosphere and found the food good but not exceptional. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall the stay was good but there were some housekepping issues that marred the overall experience. The room was comfortable and quiet, but the room lighting was poor - through design not because bulbs were not working. Our only use of room service did not inspire confidence at the outset as the person I spoke to had only limited command of English but the net result was fine. We asked for a flower vase on check in and again later in the evening. None was forthcoming so we used the waste bin liner. The next day no vase was provided and there was no waste bin either so we had to ask Housekeeping for one and all they provided was the flimsy plastic liner. We also had to ask for extra hangers. These were provided but only after we had asked again and after we had left the hotel for the evening.

Location: Central location. Most theatres are only a few minutes walk with endless shops and places of interest and tube stations close by.
We contacted the hotel prior to our stay to make some requests. Our e-mail was responded to very quickly and we were treated with dignity and respect due to our reasons for being in London. Our requests were more than met, and were given a complimentary upgrade. The room was beautiful and the hotel itself exceeded expectations. Room service was prompt, the little touches in the room were what made this hotel stand out for us. The location was very central but not on a main or car heavy road. The bar and restaurant are very good but you are so central, everything is within easy reach. We highly recommend this hotel.

I had booked a good 2 weeks in advance of staying at this hotel, hubby & I picked it out together. The night we booked, it was my hubby's birthday. I decided I wanted to make a special night so I called the hotel 5 days before our stay to arrange a bottle of champagne, a cake, a card & some chocolate dipped strawberries as a surprise for him-to have in the room before we headed out to dinner. I was sent a form to fill out, which I did & sent back, this form had my credit card details on it too. When we got to the hotel that night, nothing of what I had arranged was done. No champagne came up, no cake, no card or strawberries, nothing. I even called 15 minutes before it was scheduled to come to the room to confirm it was all still coming and I was told, yes. So I wait & I wait & I wait. Nothing. 30 mins later, I call back and ask where everything is. They told me to come down to the bar & talk to the bar manager. So I do. I explained that I had arranged this from 5 days ago & how come its not happening? They didn't have an answer & after some digging they informed me that they never received that form that I had filled out. I was fuming. They said they would send up some bubbly, but that was not the point. The evening was ruined because it wasn't a surprise anymore for my husband & I was really annoyed. Then a waiter came up to my room with a single oat cookie on a plate, with syrup squirted around it as a substitute for the cake!! Insulted, I told him to take it back down.

We had 2 twin rooms one was very small and bathroom tiny to say the least. The other bathroom was a good size but bedroom small . I would stay again but only for the location . It was not cheap and I would have expected better rooms . The cleaner did not clean our room each day till 4 o'clock which was very inconvenient as we wanted to freshen up to go out for early meal at we had shows booked . Drinks in the bar were expensive and they had dead a service charge which I was not happy about .

Cons: The cost of breakfast is quite high so we didn't eat in the hotel
Location: As mentioned above the theatres are close by. Lots of shopping and many places for eating
Loved this hotel. The location in Covent Garden was ideal for eating and shopping and within walking distance of most of the theatres. Mathilda is showing at the theatre opposite the hotel. Staff very helpful and although our superior room wasn't very big it had everything we needed and it was very comfortable
