Okay,,not too many to chose from

Posted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: able to park our motorcycle right in front of the door.
Cons: need better free breakfast and newer furniture
Location: the beach, Cannery Row, right across the street Del Monte Mall
Did not have much of a choice, busy weekend. When I first walked into office, smelled very bad, like curry. I thought oh no what is the room going to smell like. The manager seemed to be half asleep and wanted to hurry and check me in. Got in the room, and it was just stuffy and musty smelling. We opened the door and for a bit and turn on air and it seemed to clear up. The room was pretty clean, but very out dated and seemed like yard sale furniture. The shower curtain needed to be changed or washed. The breakfast was a joke. Consisted of a Costco quarter of a muffin and orange juice, about a 3oz cup. Cherrios if you wanted cereal and that was it.

Great hotel for easy stay

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: The beds and Sheets seemed to be new and very well kept
Cons: Updated bathrooms, better insolation
Location: Clean area, Nice flowers up front
The room was clean with new bedding. The bathroom was clean but a little out dated. Towels could have been nicer, had some stains on them. Over all a good stay and perfect for a one night stay. Close to eating and shopping. Not to far from the Warf and Aquarium.

Fair hotel

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Close to center
Cons: muffins and cereal for breakfast, take to your room
Little run down hotel, needed to ask for shampoo, relatively close to the center which is convenient, but expensive which is expected in this area comparing to other hotels

Not good

Posted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: Not much
Cons: Remodel completely
Location: Only thing good was location. Had to sleep in back of truck.
Room was in bad shape. Misc. furniture items broken, bedding was bad, bathroom light never worked, signs of pest in bedding. Could not stay in room after seeing condition. Was told they would not refund and to contact booking agency.

Back in time . . .

This was the only hotel we could book last minute for our family. Hotel is horribly outdated and stale. Pillows were uncomfortable. Bathroom light fixture was broken - just a couple of bulbs on the ceiling. Old 27" tube television made me feel like I was stuck in 1981.

Three night stay to see Monterey and Carmel

Posted Jul 12, 2014
This is an expensive area ... I spent three nights at the hotel while on a West Coast Road trip. The hotel is nice enough looking and very similar to those on either side of the property ... it's a very short drive to Montery ... and a walk across the street to a beautiful mall with some lovely stores, an excellent grocery story and some very nice restaurants. The room was very dated but well kept and clean. The water pressure for the shower was extremely weak and the water was luke warm. The only amenities were two little pieces of soap and some shampoo. The towels were quite worn. The bottom sheet was too small for the matress. When I removed the bedspread there was only one thin fleece blanket which I folded in half to be warm enough. The man at the front desk was exceptionally unwelcoming, and because of his unfriendliness I cannot recommend the hotel to anyone.

Clean room, good location.

The owner was a little rude. The room was very cute and clean. It did not have a large tub as shown in the pictures. The fireplace worked well but the tv was small. Continental breakfast was ok; just some small muffins and orange juice.

Horrible choice

Posted Jul 6, 2014
We arrived and before even getting out of the car regretted this choice. The motel appears much nicer than it is online. We went up to the room and immediately decided we would not stay here under any circumstances. The beds were hard as a rock and the bathroom was barely big enough for the toilet! We did not even unpack the car, went right back to the front desk and turned in the keys. I would never suggest this motel to anyone!!!!

A bit smelly.

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: The staff was nice.
Cons: Smell, cleanliness, steps.
Location: Beach, aquarium and Fisherman's Wharf
The room was a bit small/tight. It had a very potent mildew smell. I could hear everyone around me which wasn't good when I needed to rest, and I was on the 2nd floor. There was a couple of stains on the conforter. The steps up are steep. Don't waste your time going to get the continental breakfast, I was given a small rinse cup (about 5oz.) of orange juice and 1/4 of a muffin no fruit or cereal. Also the T.V. wasn't working.
