I didn’t appreciate how the staff continuously harassed me about it being a non-smoking hotel. I also didn’t appreciate them putting me on the third floor underneath a bunch of kids running around all night. I went on vacation for rest. This hotel was extremely unpleasant. I would not recommend if you were going to Monterey for A relaxing vacation.

No complaints about the room or the location. Most of the staff were great. A couple staff members weren't the nicest, but I don't mean the service was bad. It was just noticeable because other staff members outshined them. The only problem during my stay was the elevator broke, so we had to use the stairs. I was able to manage fine, but if someone was elderly or with a disability it probably wasn't ideal for them. They fixed the elevator rather quickly, but it was making too much noise for me to feel comfortable taking it. So I continued to take the stairs.

We love Monterey Bay Inn. Second time there. Only reason it’s not a 5 start is a pinch pricey. But a bargain compared to the rest of the ocean view rooms

This was the perfect hotel for our small family! The staff was nice and made checking in a breeze with early check in and even upgraded us for a better view. It’s super close to a nice beach and a short 10 minute walk to Cannery Row restaurants and aquarium. The hotel serves fresh cookies every afternoon, which was a hit with our kids. The hotel lobby and elevator was a bit dated but still nice. The room felt updated and was very comfortable. They delivered a continental breakfast to the room at the time of your choice, which was awesome. Will stay here again.

We stayed in an oceanfront room. The room was beautiful! The staff was very welcoming and attentive to anything we needed. The only thing my kids wanted more was a pool; they only had hot tubs. We will definitely return!

The Bay view and staff were excellent. The parking lot is horrendous. Both of our cars were damaged there. Inadequate parking space, several other cars unaffiliated with us were also damaged over two days

Very nice hotel. Just a bit dated but overall pretty good. Parking can get a little tight and $25 per day seems a bit excessive. Staff was wonderful. Views are great. Little bit disappointed in the conditions of Cannery Row. Since we were last there it’s dropped off quite a bit. Hopefully someone has a vision to bring it back to its glory days.
