Convenient place for a nightPosted Mar 1, 2014
Pros: The size of the rooms
Cons: They need a spill over room for breakfast we had to wait for a table
Location: There was only one restaurant that we could walk to . It would have been nice to have a choice of restaurant and after spending all day in the car
We arrived one day early in Phoenix so we had to get a hotel room for one night . We booked with Expedia & when we arrived and they gave us our room we were so impressed with the staff, the size of the room even the bathroom was nice and big. The beds were comfortable & the breakfast came in with all the other hotels that offer breakfast., but it was sufficient.I have never stayed with this chain before but I have added them to must book list.

Experience at La Quinta ChandlerPosted Feb 19, 2014
Cons: Dated, cleanliness, hotel staff should work on being more friendly and accommodating.
Location: centrally located to Phoenix.
The staff was never overly friendly. We originally booked 2 nights but added a 3rd. Our key didn't work almost every time we had to get into our room. They never apologized or even commented. Always acted like it was our fault. Our check out was delayed by 45 minutes while the staff could not get us back into our room. The maintenance staffed apologized but the front desk staff didn't acknowledge the situation. The breakfast was pretty gross. The options were unhealthy and as a result we had to get breakfast elsewhere for 2 of the 3 mornings. The staff complained about our dogs several times even though the claim to be dog friendly. Our dogs were quiet and well behaved. They barked if the hotel staff was talking loudly outside of our room or when guests were loudly running up and down the hall in the middle of the night. The hotel gave us a hard time about honoring the expedia rate and in fact acted like "Well you are going to have to call expedia." They tried to overcharge us significantly. While we enjoyed our stay, as we needed some time to relax, I would chose another hotel next time. The surrounding area is nice.

It was fine.Posted Jan 11, 2014
Cons: Bathroom and ceiling updated.
Everything was nice and clean. The bathroom is outdated, and popcorn ceilings, but otherwise it was fine. Staff is always nice. It's close to my company's operations center, and they are offer reasonable prices.

Quiet hotel with breakfast included. Dogs allowed.Posted Dec 27, 2013
Pros: Location was great - close to freeway, but no freeway noise. Parking lot was well lit. Help-yourself breakfast was included.
Cons: Refrigerator in room made a lot of noise until I fixed it with my shoe. Need a fan in bathroom.
Location: In the heart of Ahwatukee ... great location close to shopping, restaurants and hiking in South Mountain. In my case, close to family!
Stayed for a week... nice and quiet.

stay in PhoenixPosted Dec 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Stayed at the La Quinta because it is fairly close to our daughters house and quite convent to get on freeway to go around Phoenix. The staff is nice and took good care of us.

Do not disturb, they go into your room!Posted Nov 26, 2013
Cons: The staff and the fact that they go into rooms when the guests have the DND sign up.
I checked into a room (124) on Friday. I spent the weekend working. I leave the DND sign on my door due to the amount of paperwork that I leave out and I don't want hotel staff in my room when I am not there. I left ,my room on Sunday at about 10AM and returned at about 5PM. I was very surprised to see a note from the hotel handyman that he had fixed the grab bar in the shower. I had not yet reported that it came out of the wall that morning and I almost fell, I did slip. I was going to report it when i came back to the hotel that evening. I also noted that my emerald and diamond ring that I forgot laying on the counter by the fridge in my room was also missing, it was laying right next to where the note from 'Allen' was laying. I went to the front desk to report that someone had been in my room and that my ring was missing. The very rude person at the desk said that Allen had worked there a long time and he would not take the ring. she also told me that the bar had to be fixed as it was a huge safety concern. I asked her how they even knew the bar was broken and she said it had been reported on Friday AM when the other people checked out! it was such a huge safety issue that the handy man had to go in my room without my permission and fix it! yet, they checked me into the room? never stay here!!
