Nice hotel though quite remote.

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: It was pleasant enough
Cons: Not really
Location: The location is pretty remote, Phoenix is really spread out, so a car is a must. Tucson, Flagstaff and Sedona are good days out should you have a car.
Quite a pleasant stay, we'd booked for 4 nights which on reflection was too many as there wasn't that much to do in Phoenix itself. Had a meal in one of the restaurants on the first night, it was ok but I felt it was over priced for what it was. Spent sometime on the lazy river, which was good fun. Our room was overlooking one of the swimming pools, which was ok until the last night of our stay. It was a Saturday night and the pool was very busy up until 11 o'clock at night. Then at 4 am Sunday morning guests were in the pool again and it was really noisy. When I checked out and mentioned this to the hotel staff they said the pool was locked at night and not reopened until 8 am. My husband actually walked through the pool gates at 5-30 of the morning we checked out.

Labor Day weekend getaway

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Location: Conveniently located
It was easy drive from Tucson with our three kids. The water activities with the kids was great. Kids coyote club was cool for the kids but oddly not many parents took advantage, instructors we liked and the kids loved it. We went to dinner at Rico's it was good we enjoyed the entertainment a solo guitarist. We were in our room when they wanted to clean and napped around noon with the kids so we did not get our room cleaned at all during our stay?

AWSOME!

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: THE STAFF!
Cons: There were a lot of pool tiles missing, in addition to having some pretty serious concrete breakage around the pool. (Marked by neon green cones)
Location: great location! Easy to find!
Wow, where do I start?! I travelled there with my 5 year old, and I'm a single mom. 1st off, we had a late arrival after a flight delay. I walk into the front doors of the hotel, (after being kindly greeted and welcomed by the bellman, Mike). The front desk agent warmly welcomed me as well, and asked my name. I gave it, in which he promptly said, "we've been expecting you!", and handed me my keys, and a map to the massive property. Noticing my horrified look that the typically directionally challenged exhausted traveler would exude, the bellman quickly offered to show me the way! We followed him to the location where he offered to take my luggage up the flight of stairs... (GOD SEND). Once inside, he asked if he could shuttle us to the pool and show us the location! Seriously! This hotel has GOT to have some AMAZING management for the staff to be this awesome. We were a quick 2 minute walk away, so my little on and I quickly suited up and off the water park in the dark. YEAH! We get to the gate where a really sweet team member welcomed us AGAIN, and gave us wristbands, and told us to have a terrific time. AW! We really enjoyed the pool and the staffers at the water slide were so incredibly sweet and fun! No attitudes, they were just having fun with the guests and happy to be there. Where does THAT happen? AT this Hilton! Then, the little one wanted floaties. They had a shop right there, with everything Walmart priced! (WHAT?!) COOL! The list goes on!

Raining

Pros: how grand it looked
Cons: was a bit dirty. like the steps and repair the inside of elevator at south pointe.
Location: waterpark, resturant, room service til 11 on food and pizza came in less than 12min. was great.
storm just came and left. the hotel was dirty and water was everywhere. place on the outside was great but going to the room was a bit nasty. beds were comfortable and towels were huge. but the amenities was great in the morning, room services and water parks. everyone was coming out early cleaning.

Pros: Pool
Cons: the grounds are very spreadout. Staff needs to offer golf cart rides more frequent to accomidate long walks to conference rooms, pools, front desk, lo
Location: grounds have lots to do, nothing around it
I was there for a sales meeting and it wasn't as accomidating as I would have liked. but can see that it would be a fun place for a family on a budget wanting to get away.

Clean hotel

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: The facilities were great!
Cons: Bar service at the pool could be better! Not impressed with dogs constantly barking! Staff very businesslike and not at all friendly!
Location: Great location, lots to do off route 17. Very pretty area!
Very clean hotel. Great gym! River Ranch was lovely except on Saturday when the whole world shows up! Dogs allowed and constant barking! Very annoying! Hotel staff not friendly at all! No outside food or drink allowed at the pool and drinks are not cheap at all but they do have free water stations!

Meh.

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Nice that they have the water park. But it is too full of people. The water is scuzzy. There is one small water slide and the line is long.
Location: It is too far removed from everything - no restaurants are adjacent, other that the ones run by the hotel.
Meh... That's pretty much all I have to say about this place. Wouldn't return. The rooms are ample size. The grounds are old fashioned and a little run down.
