nice enoughPosted Mar 6, 2014
Pros: good location
Cons: update the furniture
Location: easy access to hiking and retaurants and airport
furniture in room a little dated, beds comfortable, shower stream a little weak....River Ranch a bit overhyped ( mini golf course porrly marked and in need of attention) ...place has only three meal options, and they closed one while we were there for a "private party" and the ohter didnt open til 11 leaving only one breakfast option

Great Get Away in my back Yard!Posted Feb 24, 2014
I just relocated to Phoenix a few months ago and I have been so busy. I finally decided to take some time for Myself and GOD. I'm so glad I chose this location. It is beautiful it felt like I was on an Caribbean vacation. The grounds were nicely maintained and resort was clean and updated. I was offered an upgrade on my Queen size room and I intia;lly decliend since i was just for myself for one night. But after seeing the size of the room I changed my mind and called the front desk. The guy ( I forgot his name ), was so nice and courteous and he even sent a bell hop with the new keys and to direct me to my new room. The king size suite was AWESOME. It was big and relaxing. I enjoyed my stay. I also took part in the amenities on the grounds. I visited the water park it was big and full of fun for children. The TOCASIERRA SPA & SALON was amazing.Ask for Gayle and tell her I referred you she is awesome with making you feel nice and comfortable. I had dinner at The HOLE IN THE WALL and i enjoye dmy food it was cooked well and tasted great. I will be visiting again!!!

Worst hotel experience I have ever had!Posted Feb 18, 2014
Horrible hotel personnel. I asked a simple question of what's complementary at the hotel and they responded with "nothing is". They promised us a lot of things and it end up not happening or ended up costing us a lot of money. No one was helpful. Waited 45 mins to eat at the buffet. Food was not very good. Our waitress was brand new and never opened a wine bottle before till she tried to serve us. Would never stay there again.

Checked-in and Checked-outPosted Jan 24, 2014
After reviewing the information on the website and seeing that it had the amenities we were looking for, we were excited about our stay. Upon checking in, we went to our room and immediately went to the front desk to cancel. The rooms were extremely outdated as well as the furnishings. Dark, dungy, musty smelling are words that come to mind. The staff was understanding and accomadating but we had to scramble to find another place to stay.

Fun resortPosted Jan 13, 2014
Fun family resort. The resort fee is NOT optional, it is a mandatory fee charged everyday that you will pay at the end of your stay, so take advantage of it! We did not know this and paid $100 for nothing. However, we still had a good time.

You get what you pay forPosted Jan 12, 2014
Location: Well situated for dining and shopping. For spa experience in desert-and-boulders environs at expense of convenience to city amenities, go further out.
Clean and tidy, comfortable, but definitely not a luxury resort. Very basic bathroom size and fixtures. Most uncomfortable couch I've ever sat on, impossible not to slouch unless you're 6 feet 6 or so. TV set in bedroom not working (but we didn't try to use it until a.m. of checkout, so it might have been remedied promptly if we'd reported it). Vending machine on our floor went days w/o being serviced (card reader not working, preferred selection empty). Only 1 restaurant on property open in January. Dark curtain over sliding door in bedroom won't close fully because its track is 1 foot too short! Incomplete privacy is not privacy! The "Yes" recommendation is highly value- and goal-dependent. For the price, for a value-minded family, or for a couple in Phoenix to visit the city, it's OK, but if you can spend a little more or are looking for a more spa-like venue, do so. We will, next time.

Beautiful pools and architecture.Posted Jan 7, 2014
Customer service was awful. It was impossible to reach anyone at the front desk. The construction was unsightly. The price was good though. You guys spelled cleanliness wrong in your survey. Unprofessional. I left a 100 dollar clothing item in the room and nobody could find it for me after I left.

Roaches in the room. Don't share a casitaPosted Jan 3, 2014
Roaches in the room. Inconsistencies with the room cleaning process. Restaurants closed. And the pools being in long time maintenance without letting us know at all until we were already there. If you're planing on staying in the casitas, make sure you rent the whole ones, because in the divided ones you can hear EVERYTHING through the shared door/walls. Watching TV late was a problem when there were kids snoring and parents trying to sleep next door; and sleep past 7~8am is impossible when there were kids waking up super early and parents yelling at them all morning.
