“Great resort”
Terrific resort, golf a bit overpriced, last one out on Sunday eve 5pm and got charged $72 for 9 holes so played elsewhere later in week Otherwise had a 5-star experience
“Love the hotel. :Needs a hair more to be perfect!”
Halls need to be kept cleaner. Need more elevators or stairs. Took me three days to find a short cut to exercise room. Most employees (staff)were great except one desk person needed more training because when we asked about check out & she did not know they send you a bill to go over. 99% of staff could not do enough to be helpful. Will definately go back to the Westin.
“Kierland Comments”
Did not have convenient handicapped parking. Charged for overnight valet service. Restaurant charged to refill coffee at breakfast.
“Execellent Place To Stay”
One of the nicest places I have ever stayed. The beds were unbelieveable, just like it said in their description. We found the Brittlebush to be the best place for lunch. We never had a bad meal there. The service at the Spa goes without saying. They made you feel very special. It was by far the most relaxing vacation I have ever had.
“I'm taking my whole family back as soon as possible.”
The hotel is beautiful. The grounds and landscaping are lovely. This is suitable for families and adults. There is a family pool and a quiet adult pool area. A lazy river feature is a bonus for older children. A 27 hole golf course is part of the resort. The three restaurants are excellent. Shopping is adjacent with other restaurant choices. Spa is heavenly.
“Westin Kierland”
Very clean room, with complimentary Starbucks coffee and most comfortable beds we've ever seen in a hotel. From a concierge to a rental car rep - the staff is very friendly and most helpful. Overall, the hotel is very clean - even with pets allowed on the property. The pools are maintained. Great for families and business travelers.
“The best in the Arizona desert”
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be treated like a king/queen! The staff is very attentive, service was impecable, and grounds/room were fantastic. The beds are beyond comfortable, the bathroom has a shower separate from the bath tub with a double shower head. We had a view from the 7th floor of the golf course which is breath taking at sunset. The spa is wonderful...a little pricey, but well worth it! The best part was they have an Adult pool area! You are away from the annoying kiddies who have their own very large and entertaining pool area. They have activities for the kids throughout the day which kept them away from adult land! They have a waiter that takes drink & food orders. And also pool attendants that bring pitchers of ice water for you for free. They also come around to be sure the pitchers stay empty and adjust the umbrellas for shade if needed. We went on June 4-7, 2008...it was 101 degrees and the rate was a lot cheaper due to it being their off season. I'm from the northwest where we don't get 101 degree heat, but I could take the heat with all of the service and attention. I will definitely be back and soon!!
“Amazing experience”
My best friend and I stayed at this hotel as part of a long, relaxing girl's weekend. I couldn't have asked for a nicer place. AMAZING service.... they treated us like we were very special and wanted us to have a good time and be comfortable. From the bellmen to the room service delivery guy, they all made the trip memorable. We will definately be returning!!
“Very impressed”
First time stay at a Westin facility and service at hotel was impeccable. Golf course and mountain views were stunning. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to go out of way to assist. Rooms were quiet, beds were extremely comfortable, and included twice daily service.Stayed on premises to eat at restaurants for most of stay. High marks to Nellie Cashman's, for all meals, especially breakfast buffett, which included everything. It is to be expected at a resort hotel that amenities are pricey, so be prepared before you go. The hotel is located centrally, so other options are available to you if you so choose, but a rental car is a must. The hotel caters to a lot of conventioneers, but it never interfered with our stay since all activities were in a separate part of hotel and we were not disturbed at any time by them. There is an adult pool area, open 24 hours, and a larger area with poolside bar/cabanas/lazy river/slide that caters more to families. Golfing is top notch, and pro shop staff were extremely helpful. Rates decrease in the afternoon, but take into account the temperatures and the fact that it gets dark by 6:30 at this time of year. A round of golf includes golf glove, balls, unlimited range balls, carts with cooling sytem with worked really well. Call ahead to find out if any courses are closed due to reseeding in October months. Did not utilize spa service due to extremely high prices. Only drawback to hotel was lack of free internet in room.
“All around comfort!”
This hotel is the most comfortable I've ever been to. The staff was helpful and very service-oriented. We ate at three different restaurants inside and the food was second to none! If I'm ever in the area again, I will most definitely stay here - and next time I'll bring the kids!
