The hotel was walking distance from downtown, and close to many restaurants. Few minutes driving distance from the shoreline ampitheatre which was great! :) the staff was very friendly. Only negative would be toilet didn't flush too well but great experience !

Hotel on El Camino Real in Mt. View

Posted Sep 20, 2014
Clean, recently refurbished room that is minimally equipped. No drinking glasses, no pens/note pad, insufficient number of wash clothes the first day, only 4 hangers, etc. lots of traffic noise. Continental breakfast was VERY marginal; coffee tasted burnt, Danish were stale, only 2selections of cereal,no seating. The office smelled strongly of Indian food.

Watch for the wifi

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: On El Camino Real
Cons: Wifi
Location: There is a bus stop down the street
I couldn't get useful wifi reception in the first room we checked in as it was farthest from the office. After a lot of struggling management moved us to a room closer to the office where it worked. I found their sign-in to wifi process difficult. If you want wifi, make sure you get a room close to the office and have patience with the sign-in process. Eventually you might be able to make it work. I did so after say 90 minutes of hassling.. Good luck!

Clean interior hotel, close to city center.

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: Clean room, clean bed.
Cons: TV channels, staff's response to guests' request (we needed to call several times and waited 25 minutes for the staff to come help our request.
Location: Noisy street can be heard clearly in the room.
The good: the room is clean, the bed is comfortable. The bad: cups in the room are not provided, a little noise from the cars passing the premises, exterior is not clean -- we stayed for two nights and the bird droppings on the staircase leading to our room remain there. Also, the TV channels are terribly few and the TV remote control is not friendly user type -- the hotel clerk didn't help with this problems.

I should have known better...

Posted Jul 24, 2014
For the price of 3-star hotel in most metropolitan areas, I had a two-star experience in Mountain View. Check in took MUCH longer that it should have, and when I finally received the key to my room, it had the room number hand-written on it . So much for security and personal privacy! The stairs leading up to the room, and the dirty concrete surface outside the room had me concerned for what might lurk behind the door. But fortunately, the inside of the room was pretty clean, and in decent shape. But the advertised continental breakfast in the morning was on par with the dirty concrete - two out of the 8 apples had soft brown spots. Next time, I'll pay a few more dollars for a better experience elsewhere.

clean room but unreliable front desk manager

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: clean room
Location: ...not much to do near by.
Nobody at reception when checked in in later afternoon. Had to wait after numerous phone calls. Requested a 5am taxi pick up from front desk manager the night before and almost missed my flight as the taxi driver never showed up. Front desk manager never woke up to assist.

Mediocre outside, Luxurious inside!

Posted Jun 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
The outside looks decent, though I did notice some trash under a staircase and piles of furniture in a parking stall. But once you get inside your room....it's very clean and really nice. Marble bathroom and counter tops. Our queen bed was also very soft with adequate pillows and covers. Nice Samsung LED t.v. with dish network with all the channels. Also had a iHome dock for ipods which doubles as a alarm clock and stereo. Microwave cooked evenly. Had a nice table to eat at as well as lounge chairs. The refrigerator/freezer definitely kept our items cool. My girlfriend also made a nice batch of coffee in our room as well, plus they their own breakfast featuring cereal, fruits, danishes, coffee, apple and orange juice. Maids were very friendly and front desk clerk was courteous and understanding. Parking was easy, and it was located not to far from Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA.
