Pros: Comfortable
Cons: Television remote didn't work.
Location: Close to all the big startup offices.
Would stay again, highly recommended. Clean rooms, clean sheets, nice exterior. Easy to find and see.

Pros: Location and clean beds/sheets.
Cons: Please provide some water for travelers who arrive very late when everything is closed. Serve good coffee or none at all. And hot water/teabags.
Location: Close to downtown Mountain View. Mostly stores and restaurants. It's a short drive from Stanford University.
Beds clean and comfortable. Bathroom clean. Location very good to walk to restaurants on Castro. Room warm enough. No unpleasant smells. Most other guests considerate, and it was usually very quiet. Provided shampoo and shower gel, fridge, iron & board, and minimicrowave. No actual area for breakfast-- just a countertop across from their check in desk ----w/ prepackaged pastries and coffee I would not recommend. They did have a parking lot. And staff were friendly. Could not find many hotels during last week of April. No coffee pot or complimentary water in room. Felt room was overpriced since I've stayed at better places for less money.

Pros: Location was close to where we needed to go, and it was one of the least expensive, but also had more amenities than others in the area.
Cons: More explanation upon check in on how the internet works. I was handed a slip of paper and not told about time limits or how to log back in.
There was only one handicap room, and it was already taken, but upon check in they let us look at the room and see if it would work for us. Very friendly and accommodating.

Pros: The location is good
The lampshades are dinged, ripped, and dirty. The comforter is ripped. The main lights don't turn on. The internet cuts out every 10-20 minutes and requires username/password every time. The staff gives you two keys and one doesn't work. Then both keys fail the next day. The lobby has a bulletproof window facing the outside, and if you can get past the smell of the lobby, the room's stale smell is tolerable.

The lady at the front desk was very nice, we were there for pre-op appoint for a surgery later this month. I mentioned to her that we would be leaving very early to the Stanford hospital, she gave me very good directions and also gave me fruit and pastries for the early morning as the continental breakfast would not be out before we were scheduled to leave the next day. Very thoughtful and as it it turned out, we were going non-stop from 6:30 to 3:30 for appts, with no time for lunch, so her fruit and pastries were very well recieved :0) We would stay here again. The bed was comfy, the room appeared recently remodeled and very clean.

San Jose Motel

Pros: Reasonable price, friendly front desk person and clean room.
Cons: The property is a low-end hotel providing low-end service -- you get what you pay for.
Location: The coffee offered in the lobby was terrible. Fortunately I found a Starbucks around the corner within walking distance.
Although not the best hotel I have stayed in, not the worst either; but my goal was to find a place at a reasonable rate for one night in San Jose area -- mission accomplished. Although I will probably not stay there again, I certainly am not going to pay more than double the price for a Hampton Inn either. My biggest problem, which would have been disastrous, I don't believe was the fault of the property, but was created by Expedia, I arrived at 1045 at night after a long afternoon and evening of travel from the East Coast. The woman assisting with check-in from could not find a reservation in her system for me. I was able to show her the reservation confirmation from Expedia on my smart phone. Fortunately, there was one room available which she checked me into, honoring the Expedia rate. If there had not been a room, I would have had a miserable night. For that reason, I will probably trust Expedia with a hotel booking again.

Was hoping for good but got less than expected.

Pros: The desk attendant was courteous and efficient. The 4-day room rate averaged $120 with tax.
Cons: Clean up the outside and have managers be more mindful of guests needs.
Location: Location was close to eateries and downtown Mountain View.
Checked in at 9 PM and was assigned to the last room available which was right next to busy El Camino Real. Room reserved for two but only had towels for one. Stayed for 4 nights and on second night did receive towels for two. Drinking paper cups provided were not wrapped-not exactly sanitary. Bedding was clean but comforter was torn. Refrigerator unplugged initially but when working froze the milk, juice and fruit. Returned at 6 PM from outing and room had not been cleaned (trash emptied). Outside parking area had broken lights, discarded tire under the stairs, carport used as a storage/junk area; outside concrete floors were filthy and paint was chipped. Did not use "free" breakfast.

We stayed for one night and the hotel was perfect for a night of comfort
