There are 2 buildings of the hotel and you'll need to take the cable car in the hotel to get back to your room if it is in building 2. By the time we checked in, the staff told us the cable car was under maintenance and there would be shuttle bus to take us to building 2 and asked us to sit in the lobby and he will tell us when the shuttle arrive. We waited for almost half an hour and decided to leave our luggage at the hotel and have a dinner first. I also asked the frequency of the shuttle bus and then the staff just tell me the cable car is already working, which means no one told us the cable car was back to order while we were waiting for it! Otherwise the hotel is pretty good and the receptionist at the building 2 was really nice.

For anyone looking for a hotel for a short break in Prague you wont go wrong with this hotel. The overall the experience at Andel`s was excellent, friendly staff with great facilities. The room was clean, with more than adequate facilities, maybe the only thing we could've done with was coffee and tea making facilities but other than that it was good value for money. Breakfasts were excellent, with everything you could want, as was the in house restaurant Oscars, which we used a couple of times, food, value and service all excellent. I have been to Prague twice now, if we go back, which I hope we will then we will definitely be back at Andels.
To sum up if your looking for a clean hotel with friendly, helpful staff, with good food then I would seriously consider andels.

The hotel was fantastic.
Clean tidy and reception very accommodating. Found it strange all prices at the hotel were quoted in Euros but you could pay in Cheq Crowns if you wish
Breakfast was more UK than continental as the variety quality and quantity was amazing
Location was not in the centre (which we knew before we arrived) but was amazed what was available a short walk away. The hotel is directly opposite Patrinsky Gardens which is well worth a steady walk up the cobbled paths to the top and take the fennicular back down
A 15min picturesque walk by the river will get you into the centre across one of the many bridges

A bit far from the center, but doesn't take much with pubic transportation or a taxi to get anywhere. The place is clean, pleasant, the rooms are large. It is a typical low cost hotel in Central Europe. Breakfast is great!

Tourists come to this outlying westerly suburb to visit the Mozart Museum in the Villa Bertramka, where Mozart stayed as a guest of the Czech composer Dusek in 1787. Not long afterwards, Smichov’s vineyards and hopfields were replaced by factory chimneys. Today, many of these old industrial buildings have been converted into bars, shops and hotels for a fresh influx of residential settlers.
