do not go there

Posted Feb 24, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: everthing
Location: it was away from most of the stuff
The rooms where dirty stains on the walls and the beds. We walked in and found leafs and soda caps on the floor. It was freezing cold and the heater did not work so they moved us to another room and the beds where smaller and hair in the ice bucket. It was just gross. Wrappers in their pool.

Cannot comment on the hotel, because we did not stay there. When we wanted to check in, we where told they were completely booked and no rooms were available. although we had reservations thru your company. Had to look for other hotels at 8:00 p.m. at night. Bad experience.

Cons: A bug man would be good for starters. I realize that this is Florida and bugs run rampant, but I would hate to see how bad it is in the middle of sum
I was hesitant about booking this hotel due to the past reviews, but it was the only hotel I could find online for under $200.00 a night. I have had worst experiences checking in, but the clerk was not the friendliest here. Got to my room and thought, ok, smells a little, but looked fairly clean. Started looking around and unit was very outdated and run down. Looked like this unit has had it share of reckless parties and patch work repairs, Then I started seeing little bugs on counter tops, no big bugs, but plenty of small ones. The next days maid service was basically nothing, they threw the covers back on the bed, but no other cleaning was noticed. It was also fairly noisy outside the room at night. The next time I have to stay in St. Augustine, this will not be the place. If this is the only place available, I would stay in Jacksonville and drive.

Wow! Did you just say that?

At check in the front desk person told me not to waste my money on anything downtown, that's the whole reason for coming. Both beds in RM 241 had burn marks in the bedding. No towels on hand to get to dry off.

Cheap stay. Kinda got what we paid for.

Booked on line. No problem. No problem checking in. No towels in room. I got them from the desk. Next day housekeeping took the wash clothes did not replace them. Bed was comfortable. No basket in the coffeemaker. But coffee was available in the lounge. I would stay again because it was very reasonable. Picky people should not.

Get what you pay for

Room not too bad for 51 bux a nite. Better off spending and extra 30 bux a nite if you want something nicer for all those griping about how gross it is

NO towels when we registered --had to go to front desk. Opened the folded bath towel -- had a long black hair on it (my hair is short and blonde). Began to make coffee -- another hair on coffee tray. Next day no housekeeping came in so the one trash can was not emptied and no new towels -- and we were gone all day. Two-night stay was not expensive but disappointing.

Ok for the cheap price

Pros: The lobby was clean and had a lot of local brochures and the location was convenient to the downtown area.
Cons: Housekeeping, trash and an overall property improvement to get rid of the cracks, water stains on the ceilings - just make it look more modern.
Location: 10 mins from downtown St. Augustine where all the tours and attractions are, as well as the beaches.
The room was old, tired and had a mildewy smell. Housekeeping didn't do a very good job cleaning - just threw the covers on the bed without making it. We arrived 45 mins before check in time and were made to wait in the car until check in time, despite the hotel being nearly empty. Continental breakfast was set up in a very chaotic, disorganized fashion and they ran out of most food items around 8:00, even though they were open until 9:30. Laundry room was dirty, only had 1 washer and 1 dryer, and the washer was broken. Folks were leaving their garbage bags outside the door and one night some animal got into it, leaving a trail of chicken bones outside. The room was also full of sugar ants.
