Nice Quiet Hotel

My buddies and I spent 3 days here for Fantasy Fest. The hotel is very nice and quiet. The beach is right across the street. The staff and Concierge were very polite and helpful.

Nice place, away from the action - would definitely stay there again

We were in Key West for a wedding Oct.22 - 25. We had 2 very nice spacious suites, very clean and updated, perfect for the 2 of us in one and 3 adult children in the other. The staff was super nice and helpful. Pool was clean and well maintained, lobby, restaurant, grounds, all very nice. Smathers Beach right across the street. I deliberately wanted a hotel away from the Key West bar scene. The only issue we had was that we either had to hope there was room on the hourly shuttle to where the action was, or take a cab on our own which proved to be rather expensive. They charged us 6.00 per person from the airport, a 1- 1/4 mile ride. So take advantage of the shuttle - you have to reserve space at the desk. They will run extra shuttles if the demand is there.

Away from town

Just the place to stay if you don’t mind being out of the center of Key West. We enjoyed the quiet, with the beach closeby. Lovely pool. Food was OK. Luckily we had a car, because the shuttle was always full, and required reservations. At this time of year it is possible to find parking in town, not so in a few weeks I’m told. Highest praise goes to the comfort of the beds here. We travel often, and since we own and operate a mattress and furniture store we are usually very disappointed with hotel beds. Not so here. Would stay again for this reason alone.

Kelly’s was great. Happy hour is the best, with margaritas you’ll go back for. Conch republic also very good and fun atmosphere with the huge outdoor bar .

Exceeded all expectations!

Sheraton Suites was so much more than we expected. The room was clean, beautiful and spacious. There was a wetbar with a microwave, mini-fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom was very large with plenty of space for clothes and hygene products. A full size ironing board and iron were provided. the bed was comfortable and the linens and pillows were top of the line. There was a TV in the bedroom as well as the sitting area, which had a microfiber couch with a chaise lounge on one end. Wireless internet worked good and there was a free room safe. The pool was great and had plenty of loungers. There was a free shuttle provided to go downtown. The hotel is directly across from Smathers beach which was nice. I don’t have one bad thing to say about this hotel. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. the airport is only about a mile away. Do yourself a favor and stay here. We only booked the standard courtyard room and it was exceptional!

nice hotel

The rooms are nice and spacious, with an extra room with a couch and kitchen. The pool is nice and you are across the street from the beach. The only negative is that you are a few miles from duval street, but the hotel does offer a shuttle.

Very nice hotel, will definitely go back

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. The entire staff (front desk, concierge, shuttle bus drivers, bartender...) were all very friendly and helpful. The fromt desk let us keep our room until 4:00pm on our last day to accomodate our late departure flight (OK, it was the low season and there were vacancies, but this was still above-and-beyond).

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

This hotel is about 3 miles from the "action" on Duvall Street. We used the hotel’s free shuttle the first 2 days. After that, we rented bikes every day for the remainder of our stay. Awesome! Don’t rent a car - you don’t need one. The Hemingway house and Truman’s Little White House tours were very good as was the jet ski tour around the perimeter of the island. Turtle Craal’s bbq beef brisket was awesome. The weather was hot and humid in late September, with brief showers many days.

The beds were so comfortable, rooms very clean and spacious. The pictures on here are outdated, everything must have been recently remodeled. Shuttle service is very handy and I’d rather be near the beach than downtown. The hotel restaurant is pretty good too. Overall, this hotel was much nicer than we expected for the price.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

We enjoyed the do it all package with Sebago, which included snorkeling, parasailing, and jet skis. It came with a free sunset cruise, which was beautiful and so much fun! The other snorkeling boats looked very crowded, and were the same price.

Great hotel

Hotel is no more then 20 feet from the smathers beach. That on its own is a great perk for me. Went for week of August 24, beach was pretty calm and quiet. PH balance of hotel pool was good, no eye burning sensation but a little sandy for my taste. Hotel restaurant was nicely designed, food was good even though one night we show up at 9pm (they close at 9) and they where in the middle of clean up but where nice enough to make us a nice lobster salad and chicken parm (excellent by the way). House keeper was extremely nice, she always showed up with a smile and was friendly.

Good accomodation next to the beach

Very close to the beach, little far from "downtown" k-west. Huge e very confrotable room, everything looks clean and brandnew

great hotel

hotel was great. rooms were very clean and nice. bathroom was just awesome. has flat screen tvs and frig/ sink area as well. pool was large and clean. best hotel i’ve stayed at in key west so far in the low to mid price range.

Traveler's tip on dining

do not go to the burger king in key largo to eat or use the restroom. nastiest burger king i’ve ever been to. i think it would have been more sanitary to have gone to the bathroom in my pants than to have used that restroom. ordered a chocolate milkshake and 10 minutes later i got a chcoclate milk.

Quiet and comfortable

Located out of town and across the street from the beach. Room was a bit crowded for 2 teenagers and 2 parents. The only separation from living room to bedroom was a sliding door. Shuttle was convenient. Use your in room coffee maker, the coffee in the restaurant is expensive!(as is the rest of breakfast) Portions are generous and splitting them works out well.

I would not recommend going there without having a car. Taxi service in Key West is by the person!

Best Place We’ve Stayed in Key West

My husband and I took our three children on this vacation to Key West. We decided on The Sheraton Suites for our stay and it was an excellent choice. We rented two rooms that overlooked the beautiful pool area. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and well-maintained. The hotel staff was cheerful, helpful and always pleasant. We couldn’t have been happier. We are already planning our next Key West getaway and will definitely choose the Sheraton Suites again. Highly recommended.

Don’t miss the Jet Ski Tour of the island. It was sensational and the highlight of our trip.

Nice Hotel - Family Oriented

The hotel is located across the street from Smathers Beach so the location is perfect for families. It is away from the excitement of Duval Street but not too far of a drive from the must-sees of Key West. The hotel was clean, needed some repair but the work was in progress and it did not affect our stay at all. The suites were a good size, had granite counters and a separate dressing area which was nice and the convenience kitchen was handy. The restaurant was good, had a great breakfast buffet and well worth the money. The restaurant staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The pool seemed a little undersized for the size of the hotel and lighting of the pool deck was very limited. We only used the pool in the evenings to relax from a long day out but I think the lack of lighting had alot to do with turtles nesting across the street. Our family will definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay! Had great service and was very ,very,clean. Second time to stay here.

My wife and I have stayed here before. The staff was very polite and courteous. The rooms were very clean and room service was great.

Very close to all attractions. You can rent a bike and tour the island or walk across the street to the beach.

It was nice stay

Hotel was nice, clean, pool was good also. Staff was very helpful. Shuttle to the downtown was very convenient, and driver is a very cool guy. One little disappointment we had - internet connection was horrible, but that’s not a big deal. By the way, beach - just across the street, not the best beach in the world, but something better than nothing.

Did’nt breing towels

we have asked 3 times for towels and not arrived.

Construction was to be finished in mid june. When we arrived the first week in JULY, is was not finished.

Great Hotel on the Beach.

Great Hotel. Across the street from the beach. Great rooms, large, clean. The shuttle to downtown is awesome. Just be sure to sign up in the morning to get a spot on the shuttle and to get your ride back to the hotel. Bring your own towels for the beach. It would have been nice if there were more choices for breakfast. Maybe a coffee shop were you can pick up a cup of coffee and a bagel or danish. Something quick. The staff there is very, very nice. Helpful and friendly.

Traveler's tip on nightlife

Take the shuttle. You won’t have to worry about having a few drinks and having to drive. The last shuttle back to the hotel is 11:00 so you can’t stay out too late.

food excellant

Our stay at the Sheraton was hampered by the ongoing construction of the lobby and restaurant. The lobby and restaurant opened the day we were leaving. It is very beautiful now. The quality of the food was great. the wait staff and manager were excellant. Always pleasant. our room was very nice and comfortable. When we had issues with the TV-it was immediately fixed. The shuttle bus was great to the downtown area. Our only real complaint was that the hotel was away from all the action downtown. would stay there again.

Can’t wait to go back- but we won’t stay at the Sheraton Suites Key West

1. Staff was rude. 2. Room service order was ignored. 3. Advertised WIFI but was "down" for the entire week. 4. While the food was good, it was grossly overpriced. 5. Bartenders were great- but $5.00 for a beer is way too expensive.

Loved Key West!

I did enjoy my stay at the Sheraton Key West though I was not impressed with a couple of the staff members. For the most part we dealt with women, they were nice and helpful, but we dealt with two men and they were very short and not very friendly. I called the day before to ensure that we would have a room with two double beds, they said it was not a problem, when we got there the man told us that we would have one king size bed and that the lady before should not have confirmed two doubles for us. He just blew it off and said that the person I spoke to the day before was new. The lady at the tiki hut was SUPER nice, we were a bit late getting there and although she was closing up she made us a few drinks any way! Pool area was very nice and the grounds were beautiful!

Enjoyed Fort Zachary Taylor’s beach, wish I would have packed lunch and spent more time there...best place to relax or play in the water!! Because we were there more for entertainment, we should have stayed closed to Duval Street.

Nice rooms & good location!

This was our second stay and we really liked the rooms & the location. There was some remodeling going on but that will only make it better. The one thing I thought was lacking this visit was customer service. We were disappointed by the attitude of some of the staff and we did not find them friendly or helpful. Maybe they were stressed with the remodeling project....but again the rooms are great!

Need improvements for a SHERATON Hotel.

The sofa and bed comforter need to be replace.

Family oriented hotel

My kids love this hotel, specially swimming pool. There was no restaurant nearby. The meal at the hotel was good. The only problem was internet connection. Some guestroom can not catch the signal.

Keywest Downtown in night time was another fantastic attraction. You should never miss that.
