Wonderful staff

The staff at the hotel made sure that I was satisfied with my room. If I needed directions or a suggestion on where to go they were there to help me. Also, the staff was very kind and cheerful, which always brighten my day.

Traveler's tip

A major highway is right near the hotel, which was very convenient.

Nice Hotel

I travel and stay at Expedia hotels quite a bit. My range of hotels changes depending if I’m with family or not. This hotel was clean and quiet. I would recommend this hotel. I wish they’d send me this survey for all of my stays.

Traveler's tip on dining

If you like Thai food, there’s an excellent restaurant called Thai Pepper on Shepard. We always eat there when we visit Houston

just a one-nighter

This hotel was fine for the price. There were no surprises. I liked the shower head (I have a "water saver" at home). We did not sample the resturants across the street. we went a few miles up I-290 to eat and catch a movie. I would come back again.

Above & Beyond

I was a little worried about what the stay would be like when their phone etiquette was not the best. However, the staff was very helpful and the hotel was well-maintained. I left my phone charger there; I called a few days later to ask them if they could send it to me. Not only did they not charge me for shipping it, but I got it the next day!

Traveler's tip on dining

There aren’t many restaurants immediately around, aside from fast food, so plan ahead to find restaurants in the area.

It was alright.

There really weren’t any dramatics. Nothing wonderful to remember the hotel by..forgettable. It was a great place for the trip I was taking, but would I remember it next time I was in the area? Probably not. Location was not the easiest to find.

Quiet!

A nice, quiet place to relax. Pool area is breezy and shady in the late afternoon Houston summer heat.

Traveler's tip on dining

There are not a lot of restaurant selections close by. Be prepared to drive out 290 or into downtown for the best selection of restaurants.

Get a room away from the Gentleman’s Club

An excellent hotel with a very good location. However, stay away from the east side of the hotel. There is a Gentleman’s Club there that woke up everyone at 2am. Hotel staff was helpful but mostly powerless, other than to call the police and hope for a reaction.

Great place to sleep

My friends and I were in town for a wedding and stayed here for two nights. The hotel is clean and comfortable with a great shower (the curtain is on a curved rod that gives extra space, and water pressure was good). Location is conveniently right next to 610 freeway entrance and exit.

Traveler's tip on dining

Goode Co. has great barbeque.

The rooms were clean and in good condition. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel has been renovated and the outside is being upgraded. I would recommend this hotel.

Traveler's tip on dining

Juanita’s Mexican Restaurant is across the street on T.C. Jester and serves a good variety of Mexican food. The food was good and the service was also
