“I spent two nights at the Spa hotel. I managed to park in the adjacent hotel car park which was very convenient. My room was great with a large TV , coffee machine, fridge and kettle. A proper bath in the en suite. Plenty of hangers. Breakfast was plentiful and a good variety. The only downside of my stay was I was housed in a separate building to the main hotel. “First contact at reception was not welcoming or helpful. Guestroom had twin beds as requested but it was so small that we couldn’t leave our luggage open. Generally the hotel displays as historic and is clean.”
“The hotel doesn’t have an elevator. I stayed on the first floor. Actually, there is a corridor between the first floor and the carpark with a few steps only. However, the receptionist didn’t told me about that. She simply told me to carry the luggages through the normal entrance and go up one floor “ONLY” . No help had been offered and she clearly knew I got a car. Nowadays, it is not usual asking the lady customers to carry the luggages going upstairs ”
