“The hotel is beautiful and the amenities such as the pool, workout room, etc. are excellent. We enjoyed a lovely dinner in the finer dining restaurant. The service was great at check in, check out and the restaurant.
Our room was extremely spacious and very nice. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom spacious and the sitting area very nice.
The big negative is there is no air conditioning. I guess I should have assumed this since the building is so old but we have stayed at older places that……
“The room is little stuffy and hot in summer. I stayed in a family room. There were 2 electric fans but one of them was broken.
Reception and staff were friendly.”
“We stayed in one of the offsite casa style rooms which was perfect for our family (we were parents travelling with two teenagers). Room was clean and had all we needed for our two night stay. We appreciated the afternoon scones and tea in the main hotel. We were surprised that our rooms didn’t have any housekeeping between our first and second nights so I’m not sure if that was part of the casa room service or not but our request for addition towels was taken care of quickly!”

“The room was exceptionally well maintained and updated. The staff, well if anyone says anything negative about this particular staff they would be lying, they were the most amazing group of employees we have ever had dealings with. The food was amazing, I am now hooked on Black Pudding, thank you Fonab. We did not get to use the spa or the pool, we were too busy traveling the beautiful Highland countryside.
