“Property looked bad when we drove in, weeds growing in the rock beds and paint peeling off the pipes outside. Plenty of peeling paint on interior doors, duct paint used in elevator to hold a small door in place. Sheets were stained from something, will never stay at one of these hotels again”

“The front staff were very friendly and helpful. Knowledgeable about the local area and had good suggestions on where to eat. I love the fact that the room had a full kitchenette - full refrigerator/freezer, a 2-burner cooktop and sink with a coffee maker. They even provided a small dish soap and towels for the kitchenette area. The queen beds were comfortable - one had a softer mattress the other was firmer, which I liked. The desk was a very good sized and wheeled, so you could move it out for……

“When we booked we were just looking for a little room for the night- but the property was a gem in the center of Mount Vernon. The staff was so helpful when we arrived and the breakfast was perfection (we didn’t know it came with breakfast! What a treat). We feel so lucky to have found the Mount Vernon Inn for our brief visit to Kenyon College.”

“This was my first time staying and so glad I did. The manager and everyone working there were so incredibly nice and helpful. Everyone had a smile and you could tell loved working there. The place itself is cozy, quiet, clean, and the food through the restaurant attached delicious. You must try the cheesecake!!! This place is a gem and would highly recommend staying here.”

“This property is well off the beaten path. Most times, you can’t hear any human activity; just birds, insects and the breeze in the trees. It has a spacious kitchen and living area, and comfortable beds. Stay here if you’re looking for peace and quiet and don’t mind driving 20 minutes to get supplies. The host is very communicative as well. We really enjoyed it!”
