“We absolutely loved our stay at Refugio Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The atmosphere has such a great vibe—relaxed, welcoming, and beautifully maintained. The staff was amazing and truly made the experience special with their kindness and attention to detail. The food was incredible, and every meal exceeded our expectations. Everything was very clean and well cared for, and the location is perfect. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to……

“Beautiful! It's safe and gorgeous. We were upgraded to a bigger unit without asking. Great view of the marina, really nice pool. It was never crowded at the pool. Walked to the beach and along the beach each morning. Gustavo was so nice and helpful.”

“The flat was amazing, we definitely enjoyed the time we spent INSIDE the apartment. HOWEVER, the hotel management and concierge are COMPLETELY inept and made our entire stay unnecessarily frustrating. We received zero communication regarding what amenities were available to us, and only received answers to questions if using WhatsApp. Even then, responses would come hours later (even up to 24 hrs) and the responses were borderline rude. They did, however, make it very clear that we were NOT……

“What a fabulous time we had staying here! The location is absolutely perfect, within about an hour to Liberia airport in good traffic, 2 hours to Tenorio National park, super close proximity to Brasilito and Flamingo. The amenities are amazing - the beach club and access to the W hotel. It is a safe, pristine locale with ample to do and Howler Monkeys to boot! The Concierge service provided by Essence Conchal was amazing. They took care of everything! I highly recommend!”

“This is a great boutique hotel for someone looking for a reclusive and quite stay. It is located in the mountains with gorgeous views. Fyi. The standard room only has one queen size bed. If you're traveling with friends, it is best to book separate rooms unless you want to share a bed. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. We are so glad to have chosen LADE.”
