"The apartments are so cozy and clean and very nicely furnished. We stayed in the trendy 5 penthouse which had a nice little balcony and sky lights with shades so it wasn’t too bright in the morning. Kitchen is equipped with all you need plus a tea pot. Silvi and Elka were very welcoming and helpful!"

"Dukes Palace hotel fulfilled all of our requirements, unfortunately the centre of Bruges caterers just for tourists and this was a great disappointment to us. When we travel we wish to experience how the local people live, eat and drink and unfortunately this was not accessible without moving outside of the tourist zone. Such a shame. Ulm in southern Germany has been a much more enjoyable visit. We will return to Ulm but will not need to visit Bruges ever again."

Instructions to get a key proved a bit baffling for jet-lagged senior citizens arriving after dark unfamiliar with the system used. "This is fantastic hotel and the decor is absolutely superb, the bedroom was luxurious and bed huge and comfy, the shower was absolutely fantastic, the staff can not do enough for you. The grounds are secluded garden that has a bathing pool (not heated ) in the centre but the garden is extremely well maintained and they have several patios with very comfy seating and there is a canal at the end of the garden. They also have a wellness centre and a jacuzzi which we didnt try on our stay"
