"Easy to find, just off the A38 towards Bristol. The area surrounding pub is quite busy, as the pub is in a busy village centre. It’s also not a quint essential country pub, it’s a busy local hub. The staff were great from start to finish, really friendly and chatty, made us feel right at home. We chose the pub due to its location within walking distance to the Thatchers Brewery (30mins). It was an easy straightforward walk. The room was bright, clean and spacious. It had everything we need. We tend to like to sleep with the window open, so this was a bit noisy due to the road, but it was what we expected, so for a couple of nights it wasn’t a problem. It was a great base for exploring the area, with Cheddar Gorge only 15 mins drive away, and Bristol airport on 15 mins away. The breakfast was lovely, and we had dinner both evenings. Great choices. If we were coming back to the area, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again at the Woodborough. Totally recommend. "

"Perfect central location to visit Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, the seaside and Bath. The accommodation was extremely well maintained and presented. A quiet location situated within a riding school, so perfect for those with an interest in horses but not affected by it being a working stable. The kitchen was particularly well equipped with good quality pots, pans and crockery and the host even provided washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea, coffee, milk and even cake! A very nice restaurant/pub, The Star, just down the road."
