Perfect location! Quaint spot just outside of the city centre close to UoB. Sam and reception staff incredibly friendly. We could have chatted for hours if we didn't have an itinerary of things we needed to complete before the end of the day! Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Had a great stay in the heart of Birmingham. Key collection was easy - from a local shop and car parking was secure on site. The apartment was modern and clean and the beds were comfortable. Plenty of places to visit and restaurants all in walking distance.

Had a wedding to attend to nearby and stayed for one night. On arrival , even though I had already checked in online which was very easy , the reception staff was fantastic. Greeted us with a smile and on a very hot summers day welcomed us with cold iced lollies . Much appreciated for thank you . Room was very spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable. For an old property, is well maintained. The only disappointment was that you have to pay for use of swimming, sauna and steam facilities. Which at the time of booking . This was not stated on the site I booked through . I will definitely stay again

This is an events hotel with a very large number of guests. I had a room in the Paddocks which is a building outside the main hotel. The rooms have No Aircon, the windows barely open due to safety catches. The temperature in the room was unbearable. The fan which was suppose to help was of very poor quality and did nothing to improve things! It was so bad I assumed it was broken, but after maintenance came out they confirmed it was just a rubbish fan . The rooms also had very poor sound insulation, the floor boards above creaked terribly, which was unfortunate when the guests above were very active at 4am in the morning. Needless to say I did not sleep well. Breakfast was reasonable but anything cooked to order was at an additional charge. The dining room for breakfast was huge, with loads of people queuing for coffee from the machine and the buffet table. The swimming pool and changing rooms were well maintained, but the pool was too small for the number of guests even 10minutes after opening in the morning. I didn’t use the Spa or gym. The food from the Pub was good although it took a long time to arrive I was very underwhelmed by all aspect of this hotel, other than the staff who were all polite and tried their best to assist. I feel this hotel is overpriced for what it offers. given the cost and my experience I would not stay here again.
