“Historic building and legacy owners managing the property. The rooms were clean, and there was shared common spaces if you wished to use them which provide provided options. Lots of space, comfortable. We were greeted by Luciano, he gave us information and a warm welcome. Extra parking arrangements were made in a secure parking location. We were very happy with the edge of the ZTL accommodation and parking. Very handy. We would definitely stay here again! ”

“This was a perfect stay for me. The room was large, cleaned daily with fresh towels. The breakfast was good with all options, meat, cheese, pastries cereal, fruit , yogurt. The breakfast room was ver pretty. The location was on the main street, walkable with shops, restaurants, wine bars, book stores etc. Many sites are walkable from the hotel. There is an airport bus across the street , taxis, post office and two amazing cafes downstairs. Oh yes, a gorgeous botanical garden across the street.……

“Great central location for most attractions. For train or bus stations, it takes about 15-20min walk. Luca (host) was easy to reach and gave us information around the area. “The hotel is indeed an old palace. It is, in fact, a historical palace smack in the center of Taormina, with great views of both Vesuvio and the sea, and directly accessing the pedestrian-only area of the town. Also, it is indeed old... with wooden floors, classic decor, vintage furniture, etc. Our room (a junior suite) was spacios and well appointed, with a great view, and a very comfortable bed. The real star of the show, however, is the staff. They went out of their way to make our stay……

Mt Etna was difficult to climb, not only because of the elevation but because the ground was composed of fine volcanic ash. Think walking on a sandy beach at an incline. We never made it to the top, but this view at the midway point isn't too shabby. #adventure
