“I had ample rest and relaxation while staying here”

“This is a nicely designed and maintained hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly. My only complaint is there is a good amount of noise from cars as the hotel is situated on the main road through the town. Also, if you’re driving a car and need to turn left onto the main road, it can be tricky due to the traffic traveling on the road in both directions and there’s no side exit from the parking lot onto a street with a stoplight or stop sign. “The Retreat Center offered a fabulous opportunity for a midpoint stop. The location and property were stunning. The drive into the property offered great promise of a comfortable stay. “The rooms were dirty. There was mold in the bathroom. The sheets, pillows and comforters had dirt and stains on them. The manager was rude.”

“Very few dishes and only 1 fork. Had to stop at dollar tree and buy some glasses. Good ice maker and full size fridge. No housekeeping service for us since we were staying a week and I guess they don't come until you leave. Only 1 towel per person. My husband stopped by front desk and requested a couple new ones (our were soaked after multiple uses) but they didn't have any clean ones so they said they would bring some and never did. “Refrigerator didn’t work and informed front desk who said maintenance was on site she will have someone look at it. More than 24 hrs later called the front desk for an update but they were unable to supply any information. We were offered another room so we had to pack up and unpack again. Was told by staff member Bryson that we would receive a monetary compensation but we did not get anything for our inconvenience.”

“The cabin is cozy and secluded, yet not far from civilization. It has been beautifully restored and you can see part of the old cabin. It was too cold for the outdoor living room, sadly. We really enjoyed our stay!”
