Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location with exceptional staff. Not all of the windows have fly screens and there were numerous wasps and other flying insects outside. Because of this I did not feel comfortable to have the windows open, even during the recent heat wave. Appreciate that air conditioning units cannot be fitted due to the age and character of the building but fly screens should be achievable. There was a fan in the room and this helped for me but even so, my laptop got very hot and would not charge. Later when moved to a cool location, it was fine. I would love to visit again but probably not during a heat wave.

Only reason I'm not giving it the full 5/5 stars is because there was a heatwave and the room was like a sauna, on high! The room had a desktop fan but it didn't do much, got very little sleep. The room was very nice, layout and quality of beds and towels are top notch. The manager was great, friendly and very helpful so I do recommended it! :)
