This hotel has absolutely massive rooms by today's standards and shares all amenities with the much more expensive Williamsburg Inn and Williamsburg lodge. The tradeoffs are that you will not have a front desk and the furniture and finishes are much older. The reality, however, is that the tradeoffs are 100% worth it. The cost is half that of the Lodge and half to 1/4 of the cost of the Inn. You can still use the pool, spa, tennis courts, fitness facilities, concierge, ticket discounts, and everything else that comes with a stay at the fancier neighboring hotels. I would recommend the Griffin. No notes.

The property is located in beautiful Williamsburg, on the Chesapeake. We stayed in a 1 bedroom condominium that was very spacious, clean and overall comfortable. There were 2 things that we had a problem with. The bed was uncomfortable, not the worse I have ever slept in but definitely not comfortable and my back hurt in the morning. Also it seems the shower leaked into the place underneath us. Other than those 2 issues it was good. I would recommend it for location and cleanliness. We did not try the restaurants on location so no comment.

Wonderful experience once again. Indoor pool was ice cold due to a broken thermostat. Hopefully it will be fixed when we return.

Breakfast was delicious, the rooms were clean, the beds were extremely comfortable, the we really enjoyed the restaurant for a light meal

Rooms are nicely furnished. They always do their best to fulfil my requests when able. Rooms are quite. Location for the area is great.
