Early boarding for military was awesome.

Paying to select a seat should STOP! If luggage must be checked, tells us before we are about to get on the plane.

American Airlines was very helpful . I am in a power wheelchair and the took great care of me

Oct 20, 2019

airport and airline employees can't assume you know know what to do and where to go. Sometimes it's the first flight or it's been more than 12 years since one has flown.

Oct 20, 2019

Onboard wifi was really poor.

Oct 20, 2019

Even though the flight was delayed 3 times it was one of the best flights I've had. The pilot made up for lost time one of the smoothest flights I've had

Overall very good trip

Oct 20, 2019

Seats are way to close. I’m 5’2” and my knees almost touched the front of the next seat. Ugh

Oct 20, 2019

My only gripe is that I was in the middle seat, my neighbors did not seem to understand that in airline etiquette the middle seat occupant gets both arm rests and the man in the window seat had the audio on his device set way too loud. After being forced to listen to his music for nearly 2 hours, I was just seconds away from digging out my ear plugs when the plane landed.

Domestic American Airline flights span from coast to coast, and include flights to Alaska, Hawaii, and several United States territories as well. Most American flights arrive and depart from one of several hubs located across the country. The largest hub, by far, is the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), which handles several hundred flights every day. Other hubs for American include Chicago's O'Hare International Airport (ORD), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Miami International Airport (MIA), and New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). It also considers New York's LaGuardia Airport (LGA) as a focus city, with more flights on the schedule to more destinations than a typical city would have, for the benefit of business travelers looking for tickets into the Big Apple.

What is American Airlines' baggage allowance?

The American Airlines baggage policy allows travelers to pack one personal item and one carry-on item at no additional charge. All carry-on luggage must fit underneath the seat or in the overhead bins. All checked and carry-on baggage must adhere to specific dimensions and weight limitations.

American Airlines baggage fees apply to specific itineraries and reflect the same policies as US Airways. The fees associated with checked bags are determined by the travel destinations, as some locations charge for all checked luggage, while others only charge for the second or additional checked baggage. Additionally, bags exceeding the size or weight guidelines may incur additional baggage fees.

How do I check in for an American Airlines flight?

Travelers have access to American Airlines check-in online, so you can avoid the lines at the airport. This online tool allows you to check in between 45 minutes and 24 hours before your domestic flight departure and between 90 minutes and 24 hours before your international flight. Use this convenient feature to confirm your check in and print out your boarding pass before even arriving at the airport.

Continue to use and earn American Airlines Frequent Flyer miles on your reservations as usual. Simply enter your membership information to determine if your reservation qualifies for points. However, due to the merger, now you have the added benefit of earning and redeeming your miles on both American Airline and US Airway flights.

There's nothing worse than arriving at the airport only to find out your flight is re-scheduled. Save yourself the potential hassle and check your American Airlines flight status ahead of time to find out the most current details on departures, arrivals, and even gate information. American Airlines also offers mobile flight notifications, so you can stay up-to-date on your flight details, wherever and whenever.
