Good budget stay

A quick overnight stay while passing through Apollo Bay. On arrival, there was none in reception. A phone number is displayed on the key return box to "call for help." The gentleman who answered was friendly, helpful and assisted with 'check in' questions. Once we made our way upstairs we found the room easily. It was clean, comfortable and simple. A small fridge, microwave, a kettle and also toaster. The bed was comfortable and there was extra pillows and blankets in the wardrobe which came in handy for the chilly night. Our budget room was a share bathroom with one other room. The bathroom was large in size with a small shower, however, has a separate bath tub for those so inclined.

Terrible piss smelly room

Extremely terrible experience!!! This is the worst place I have ever stayed, the rooms are too small and old . The toilet smells bad, like piss. The worst thing is that the toilet has no door so the whole room has a disgusting smell. I strongly recommend people not to choose this B&B!!!

Don't stay here as you will have issues

A terrible experience. The room was not as described on your site. Attempts to address this were met with hostility on the phone from the owner. At no time during the stay was the owner or employee at the hotel. In your reviews other people had the same issues. How does it rate 8 ?This should be checked out to determine if the place is worthy of your site.

It was disappointing that the quilt covers had stains on them and the carpet near the fridge had something dropped on it and did not appear to be cleaned before we arrived. Further, when we checked under the beds to make sure we had not left anything behind, a pack of bany wioes and other things were left there so onvioauly the person cleaning the room did not do a thorough job which was disappointing. Bed bedroom and bathroom though

The advertisement showed a turbo tub. There was no bath or hand basin plug in the room. When I went to reception I was told that if I wanted a bath I had to be there before 5.00pm. So I said OK, then I'll have it tomorrow morning, to which I was told that I couldn't do that before 9.00am because it might disturb other guests. When I argued that point I was told that there was a shortage of hot water. I said that I would only use a minimal amount, so the proprietor said OK, and gave me a plug. We got 150mm of hot water in the bath, then it went cold. I boiled the jug about 20 times to get enough to get half wet. There are 4 or 6 rooms. Lack of hot water is a SERIOUS issue. NOISE ! ! ! ,,,, The owners young children ran riot until after 10.00pm that night. And the proprietor was concerned about the noise of a BATHTUB ! ! !. NEVER AGAIN

Very clean, spacious room in a quiet area. Well priced. But security is poor, they dont give you a key to the front door. Room doors are internal only so if other guests were noisy it would affect you. No wifi password provided, contact person did not respond to a text. We rang 710 am when power wasnt working and no reply. Had to find the two power boards ourselves and flip the tripped switches. Two room lights not working. A little more responsive would help.

No communication that there was no one to check us in. After a second attempt at a phone call, we were informed that our room was unlocked and the key was on the table. We paid $250 for 1 night’s stay in the room with a en-suite bathroom. There was sand in the bath; curtain in place of a door to the bathroom; shower door falling apart, difficult to open and wouldn’t shut fully; outer door to balcony similar; multiple hairs found on bed sheets. Room small and incredibly basic. Totally over priced and substandard.
