The building and location are excellent.
Speakers in the room are great. TV is fine. Wifi fine. Lighting in the bathroom was very nice.
Welcome to the hotel was lacking. I had no idea whether I could eat the croissants and champagne in reception so didn’t.
I booked the hotel thinking there was a pool, sauna and steam room. Upon arrival I was told they weren’t part of my booking (I didnt know this via hotels.com) so one day I booked the spa. The steam room was not working and the pool wasn’t large enough to swim in just to cool off. You have to book your spa usage in and use it privately whereas it would be better to use communally in the morning and evening like I would prefer. I think this is a cultural difference and spanish culture views spa exclusivity as the most relaxing part of the experience.
Generally its an ok hotel in a great location but I’d rather have stayed in a hotel with a pool 5 minutes walk away but if a pool and spa isn’t important to you its a great hotel to choose. It just didnt feel as luxurious as other Aurea locations or Hospes locations.
