“There were plumbing issues. After every shower, the drains would block and would take a long time before the shower water would clear, and it stunk the whole bathroom out. Around the outside of the Mitiaro building, it stunk like sewage, constantly. There seemed to be staff shortages, two days in a row without room service. I still love Rarotonga and would most definitely return. But I think there can by far be room for improvement.”

“The place was really great, comfortable, clean and well looked after. it was a pleasure to stay there. Paul is very friendly and gave many tips on where to eat/snorkel etc. Would definitely recommend this place to others”

“Aroa Kainga is one of the best places we ever stayed at. The bungalow and the veranda offer plenty of space and the kitchen is perfectly equiped - you'll find everything you need if you wish to cook your own meals.
Location is particularly good if you are into snorkelling as the nearby beach is the best snorkelling place in Rarotonga. As we also wanted to explore other places on the Island, we rented Jane and Craig's car for a couple of days. Absolutely great to have that option!

“My husband and I could not fault The Islander. From the moment we checked in we felt like part of a large family. From the friendly smile and impeccable service from Serena at reception, to the amazing party vibe from Memory in the Hula Bar. To our wonderful friendly wait staff, bar staff, room turn over ladies. WOW JUST WOW. Meals ( breakfast, lunch and dinner were so tasty, fresh and very generous portions. Thanx chefs.

“Very good bar and pool area. Good for relaxing with food and drink whilst overlooking the ocean.
