“Once we rang the phone number on the entrance door the owner came and checked us in and was friendly the location was good to get around
The bathroom had been refurbished so was nice
We stayed in room 8 a twin room
Be careful of what you need from your stay as no bar or restaurant was open
Breakfast left in your room to eat but nowhere to sit and eat it
The fridge was old and dirty ( I have pictures) collected dirty water in a tray over night as freezer compartment were broken (photo)……

“Stayed here many times but disappointed the room (carpet) didn't look clean, bathroom, this is only room with a bath and this will be the third time I've had this room and the bath taps don't work you can only use the shower. Previously I've had water in the room but not this time. Didn't look like the tea, coffee, etc. had been topped up”

“Nice hotel in quiet location with lovely outside area. One member of hotel staff unhelpful when we advised that the WiFi was unavailable. Good evening meal, breakfast offered a reasonable choice but cooked option wasn’t great. Good hotel for the money though.”

“We had a lovely weekend at The Red Lion. The staff were incredibly helpful both ahead of and during our stay, and the pub food and breakfasts were very tasty.
Our room felt a little dated and in need of maintenance in places, especially in the bathroom, but it served its purpose for our stay and we would be happy to go again.”
