If you are just looking for a basic room for a night this place is it. Arrived at 4pm, no one in reception - greeted by someone in pajamas - parking was down the back of a steep driveway on the property, at an addidtion $20 - if a car spot is available. Nothing flash about the room, water pressure not great - for one night - go ahead, for more than that - book elsewhere

Very cool spot for dining out with loads of choice nearby, there's food in the bar at the front as well! Room was well equipped and comfy, we got lucky with room in the car park at the back but there is plenty of on-street as well

Parnell Pines isn't the Ritz but it's really great. It's right in the middle of Parnell, on the inner city bus route, and the room was clean and just fine. But the best thing is the rooms are extremely good value. Highly recommended.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Parnell Pines. Great location, and the owner was so lovely and accomodating. Highly recommend

Absolutely horrendous. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned in weeks, carpet wet, and staff was aggressive throughout the stay. The room wasn’t ready at check in and only “5-10 minutes” was needed to prepare when we arrived. We suspect the sheets weren’t changed. As we understand it, a NZ member of parliament has been involved with the owner to encourage a clean up of the property. That has not occurred. Best to read all reviews before staying. Or not stay - better.

The room was really small and dirty, I found what looked like baked beans (not in the tin) or peanuts in the drawer of the desk. The bathroom had make up hand prints on the walls and the water pressure is so weak that you'd be better off washing your hair in the sink. But then again it's only a half size sink so not sure how you would do that. There was no remote for the TV and the walls are so thin you could hear everyone else staying there walking around, talking and doing whatever else they do in their rooms. The parking is really tight and there's only very limited parking spots. The tea and coffee facilities are pretty sparse. There was only two lemon flavoured tea bags and four sachets of sugar. No coffee, no hot chocolate and instead of a tea spoon per cup there was one dessert spoon. The place felt like what I'd imagine a half way house would feel like. The only good thing, other than leaving, was the staff member who greeted us, but he had only been working there three days. This place was definitely not worth what I paid for it and I will not be staying there ever again, I'd rather sleep in my car and shower in a water fountain in a park.

Room is fine and all good for price. No aircon and a bit dated but location is perfect for a gig at the domain. No issues. Just basic. What you would expect for price you pay.

The room was clean and tidy , very did ious snd well presented but the surrounding occupants on the lower floors were very loud and partied through the night on a Thursday keeping everyone up , close to town and easy to get to shops and events
