“The property is a typical 1950's style hotel that has been remodeled. The beds were clean and comfortable. It comes with a fridge/freezer and microwave. The only amenities are very cheap bar soap and shampoo. No hair dryer, conditioner or body wash. Breakfast is not included. I felt it was very expensive for what you got”

“Stayed in several hotels in the past week and this one was definitely the best kept. Price was good. Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly. Would recommend to anyone.”

“This is a unique property. The house is beautiful, but it was a little difficult to tell what exactly we were getting from the listing. We wound up with a room with an en-suite bathroom, which I would definitely recommend, otherwise you may be sharing a bathroom with complete strangers. We stayed here as part of RAGBRAI, so it was completely full and folks were definitely having to share a bathroom and coordinate showers. Not a huge deal, but we were happy to have our room with the bathroom. All……

“We really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and watching the farm animals. The WRC fishing was a bit disappointing, but there was an area fishing derby the morning we arrived, so they might have been a bit timid. The house was very neat and felt very homey. The kitchen was nice, although there was a sign posted about not longer providing breakfast supplies starting in 2021. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will most likely come back in the future.”
