“This is a unique property. The house is beautiful, but it was a little difficult to tell what exactly we were getting from the listing. We wound up with a room with an en-suite bathroom, which I would definitely recommend, otherwise you may be sharing a bathroom with complete strangers. We stayed here as part of RAGBRAI, so it was completely full and folks were definitely having to share a bathroom and coordinate showers. “This place was awful! Walked in the room and it smelled so bad it almost made me sick! It smelled like Indian food and wet dog! I saw dog food crumbs on floor and had to ask the desk clerk to vacuum. He said they did not allow dogs? There was stuff on carpet and it was apparent that it had not been vacuumed I refused to stay there. But had a wedding to attend so was unable to ask for my money back. I got my bags and walked out. Bad experience!”

“We really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and watching the farm animals. The WRC fishing was a bit disappointing, but there was an area fishing derby the morning we arrived, so they might have been a bit timid. The house was very neat and felt very homey. The kitchen was nice, although there was a sign posted about not longer providing breakfast supplies starting in 2021. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will most likely come back in the future.”
