The hotel was small but charming. I enjoyed my stay till the live band across the street played outside all night on Saturday. I could not sleep, I could not hear my tv. I’d probably choose a different hotel next time.

Very friendly accommodations. It was raining and check-in is at 4 pm and I asked if we could check in any bit earlier. They held our luggage and said they will call when the room was ready. It was ready early. The room was clean. It did have the ocean view we paid for. The hotel is old and built of wood so it does creak (as one would expect). If this would bother you then look for a newly rebuilt structure. These things don’t bother me if there is a logical reason and it’s expected. These things price was within our budget. Close to everything. More quiet since it’s a block away from the front street.

The picture of the property was completely different to the room we offered. The carpets were run down, stained arm chairs, damaged bed frames & the toilet had damaged hangers and cabinets Overall disappointed with the price point; website pictures vs the actual room.

I enjoyed this because I only stayed for two nights, however, if I were to stay more than that I think I would’ve gone crazy! The room is very small, which was okay for me and my husband. Staying longer would have made it a bit more annoying however, there was also no microwave. Overall, it was a great stay, they let us store our bags until check-in, and even after we checked out waiting for our ferry.

My room was on the third floor and had a lovely balcony with an ocean view! It was clean, comfortable & quiet. One thing of note is this historic hotel does not have an elevator. But with the central location, this hotel is hard to beat. We will return.

Overall, experience was really great. The air-conditioning worked great, the room was clean. The bed was soft and comfortable to sleep on. There was a beautiful ocean view that I could see from my bed. It was in walking distance to everything, restaurants and bars and the beach so the location was ideal. It was definitely a good choice for my birthday weekend. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again.

Where to begin? Running out of towels for the beach at a hotel but anywhere else in the world might be $100 per night at best that is $500 a night because it is close to the beach.... that is how the first day began. And so we purchased each towel towels. It's made worse by the fact that right next to our door was a basket for dirty beach towel towels. The same towel towels had been sitting there the entire day before. Perhaps if they wash those beach towels. There would be some for the guests. The room was very dirty. There was a lovely patio that we paid extra money for that was never cleaned from the last guest so we did not use it. There was black hair in the bathroom, I have blonde hair. It was not mine. It was revolting. The walls are paper, thin so much so that we started answering the people next to us or above us wherever the sound was coming from and they stopped talking so loud because they understood that we could hear their every word. The staff was pretty unaccommodating. They said everything with a smile, but they didn't say anything to offer any amount of customer service including we arrived at 8 AM and they said they would call when the room was ready, very tired and weary from travel we came back at 3 PM and he said oh yes, your room is ready. But he never did call. they do not tag your bags when you leave them behind the front desk and therefore anyone could take them.
