From the photos this hotel looked quaint, but the property is not well maintained. The room smelled moldy and the wood of the balcony floor was so rotted we could not sit on it. It is non smoking, but someone nearby was smoking heavily. We could smell it in our room and hallway. We reported it but nothing was done. It was a very expensive room with no amenities and we will not stay there again.

Check-in experience was good. The front desk was friendly and eager to accommodate getting us into our room as soon as it was cleaned. This property doesn't have an elevator which was an unexpected surprise. That fact isn't something I look for in the profile. Carrying suitcases upstairs wasn't pleasant. The basis for my rating is due to the fact that the heater in our room was broken. After notifying the front desk we were advised there wouldn't be any maintenance people on site until well after 10pm to look at it. Since that is after we normally go to bed that wasn't an option. I requested a portable heater but they didn't have any to provide. Our only option was "extra blankets" which we used. It was terribly cold that night, the blankets didn't make the cold tolerable. The result was a terrible night sleep. In the morning when I followed-up with front desk about the heater I was informed that my previous night report was not noted. It became clear that this property wasn't interested in addressing the problem as there was a line of people in the lobby waiting to check in. I will not return to this property.
