Enjoy the many things to do in the tip of the thumb, fishing, beaches, shopping, kayaking, horseback riding, or just relax with a cook out and sit around the camp fire on this secluded, peaceful get away. Located just a block away from Lighthouse County Park and just a few miles from Port Austin or Harbor Beach, rental comes with a rented boat slip in the Port Hope Marina. Home has 2 bedrooms and a futon in the living room to comfortable sleep 6 people, and 2 full baths with showers. Internet, kitchen fully stock with all necessities (just bring your groceries), gas barbecue grill and picnic table, camp fire pit. Boat slip accommodates up to a 25 foot boat, with 2 launches on site, great walleye, salmon, steel head and lake trout fishing at different times of the year.

2022 summer trip to Pt.Austin area

This is an older trailer, very convenient, spacious and clean. Grass was cut jut before we got there. Very quiet area. Nice outdoor fireplace. 15 minutes to Pt. Austin.

Dirty

The cleanliness of the property was totally unacceptable. Dirty bathroom sinks, toilets, dirty towels, old loufas and soap from previous renters. Smelled musty and the one bathroom smelled like urine. When a charge is applied for cleaning, I would expect it to be clean when we arrived. Very disappointed.

Some ares clean

Check in was horrible. They provided a road name but omitted a number address and we needed to turn on to 2 more streets, name of streets not provided to find Trialer. Bottom line address not provided without driving to A main road and calling owner.. Phones would not satellite to owner unless we drove to closest highway to call. Just provide a real street name and number. This was not a nice welcome. Floors clean except sticky spots. Spiders with large web in doorway to large bedroom. Overhead Light to large bedroom did not work. Dishwasher not listed did not work but had dried soap inside. Not my favorite property or welcome. Location great, bed ok, welcome poor.

Great place to have a short family gathering.

Great place to be able to reconnect with family and friends. The area has a lot to offer and the place was a great quite place to relax and enjoy a BBQ and pit fire. Well worth the price.

Great weekend getaway

We loved everything about our stay!! The property is very private. The inside of the cottage is decorated very nice. It is very clean, and has all the amenities needed to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner!!! You can tell the owners take a lot of pride in keeping up the cottage!!! Thank you for everything!!!

Excellent Retreat

If you imagine everything that is listed on the description, then you can imagine staying here. Bed was very comfortable, good shower, full refrigerator. Nice outdoor bbq pit, although we did not use it..this time. Enjoyed walking over to the park. We will be back!

Home away from home

Relaxing atmosphere, beautiful decor and very kind and accommodating host. Had an amazing short little getaway for my birthday with the family, loved being able to put my little ones toes in the sand for the first time at Veterans Waterfront Park a short drive up the road.

Girls weekend

We had a great time! The decor is super cute and the location is just secluded enough that we had a quiet, peaceful time but definitely didn't feel like we were in the middle of nowhere. So many conveniences of home are available, especially in the kitchen. We would definitely stay again!

Nice place!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this VRBO in Port Hope. You could tell work had been done to the place; the entire home was clean and nicely presented and the beds were comfortable. We did have some trouble cooking in the oven, and would suggest the property owners either look into a deep clean or replacing as it did cause quite the odor while making breakfast. We enjoyed the fire pit and visiting the lighthouse. There was some trouble on our way back one night, where the neighbors were all gathered on the road we turned onto - we were going slow but waited for them to clear the road while they yelled at us. We were a bit freaked out and felt like they might hit the car or come after us, and we could hear them yelling and playing loud music all night since it was a nearby campground. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and had plenty of room and well worth the price. Thanks again for hosting us - I hope the neighbors start to settle down a bit for future guests!

Quiet, secluded weekend

100% as advertised. Loved the interior decor and extras such as welcome basket. Owners definitely want you to have a positive experience. Very quiet and private. Short walk to the lighthouse park and water. Definitely would stay again. Thank you!
