Petfect little rooms for a short stay. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean and with everything needed.
Fabulous base for exploring Bakewell and the Peak District.
The staff were super friendly & the food excellent. They have just started serving breakfast which served in a lovely refurbished room.
The pub had a great ambiance with a lot of locals calling in for a drink.
Our room was warm, a good size & pleasantly furnished.
We will definitely stay there again.

Could be a lot better
fresh coat paint on skirting boards, larger tv definitely needed , better kettle please, No tissues, no hairdryer and a squeaky bed. Good things …mattress comfortable, good shower and plenty of plug points plus convenient to village
Great friendly staff and really handy free parking in their car park right next to the accommodation. Only issue was the wifi wasn’t working, and it’s not a great area for phone signal.
This is not a luxury stay, but, it is a very welcoming, comfortable & clean stay in a great location. Normally, &, my reason for returning, is that it serves very good food. Sadly a much reduced menu on this occasion, but, who doesn't like a pie anyway?
Walked 21 miles to stay here. Room lovely. Food lovely. Staff busy but doing their best. But no wifi, TV didn’t work & annoyingly no ground coffee for cafetière in room. And they knew all these things. No breakfast but my fault for not realising. For £150. The third time I (very politely) asked for help, the barman suggested that I contact Jim’ll Fix It. A free bottle of wine & 2 glasses would have been better customer service.
I like it here, I stay a few times a year. Very comfortable, clean welcoming. Normally a nice bar and great food, it’s why I stay. It would be good to know the bar and restaurant are closed Monday & Tuesday & in complete darkness. Fore warned is fore armed!
About 4 weeks after booking, i was phoned to inform me that there would be a music festival on the weekend and that we would not be able to park the car. On arrival when being taken to our room we were casually told that breakfasts would not be zvailable for our stay.
Perfect choice for the area ,rooms were excellent, service good.ideal for visiting Bakewell although nots so good if you require taxi back on a Saturday night.
Basic but clean accommodation. Shower was either super hot or freezing cold. TV was very small with just a few channels, but room was nicely decorated, and tea/coffee/water were all provided. Perfect for a one night stay. The dinner we had at the pub was delicious.

Bedrooms excellent. Staff really doing their best but overstretched/understaffed.
With abit of thought /business planning it could be brilliant.
Lovely warm, clean and cosy accommodation in a beautiful village. We travelled early in the week in low season, so the pub understandably wasn't open on Monday and Tuesday, Also there is very poor sign for mobile phone and data and we were unable to get the wi fi password, which made contact for work a bit difficult. Otherwise great stay, would visit again
On arrival we had a self check in and unfortunately the cleaner hadn't done our room. A text to the owner, a few beers and food up the road and our room was ready with complimentary drinks for the inconvenience. Mistake solved!
Had a great stay at the Farmyard Inn. We were welcomed from the moment we stepped into the little pub which was busy with diners.
We checked in and we’re taken to our room which looked newly decorated and was spotlessly clean.
We asked if there was room for an evening meal to be told they were fully booked but that he would try accommodate us. We ordered an drink and got a lovely table in the corner of the pub and handed some menus. All quick and efficient.
The food was lovely. Outstanding Beef and Ale pie which was just what we wanted after a long drive.
Absolute gem of a find
