"We loved this hotel as it is well positioned in Oxford. We were met as we drove up by the valet who took care of our car. The hotel is in an old prison which was cool. We had rooms in the female prison block which was across the courtyard. The rooms were very comfortable. We had drinks at the bar which was great. Breakfast was delicious and I would recommend getting it as part of your stay. We enjoyed our stay here and would book it again if we returned to Oxford."

"Lovely room but freezing cold when we got in - could have done with the heating on and for us to turn it down rather than the other way round. Beautiful spacious room with a balcony. Every corridor had dirty bedding, Henry vacuums and cleaning products for you to step over every time you left your room. Lovely bar area with beautiful pizzas Brilliant breakfast"

"The hotel is in a handy central location in the town, with plenty of easy parking. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed drinks and tea in the lounge/bar area. The room was a reasonable size, but allowing space just for a smaller double bed. The en Suite bathroom was fine, except for a broken toilet seat. Breakfast in the spacious dining room was pleasant, with a good choice of continental and cooked items. Overall a good place to stay."

"Friendly staff. Limescale in toilet and splash stains on wall by radiator. Could do with more storage I.e. drawers in bedside tables. Comfy bed, nice dark room. Breakfast good, maybe a cold meat & cheese section would be nice. Our room was near amenities so noisy first and last thing, some signs reminding guests to be quiet would be helpful. We stayed for two nights, overall excellent we would definitely recommend and return"
