Wonderful stay! Especially the Great Room with Bill Trowell on the piano and Neil the bartender. Breakfast at the Looking Glass restaurant (not free) was excellent. All the staff were so nice and accommodating. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay!
Charming property, amazing views, and room and common spaces were very clean. Room (in main building) & bathroom were spacious with nice size balcony. Evening entertainment (pianist) was an added bonus, with very fair bar prices. Great location with two ways in and out of property (undoubtedly a real plus during high season!).
The facilities beautiful, the room is the nicest I have seen, the locations great BUT, when I arrived to check in the receptionist ignored us, we were the only ones there, finally we asked if we could check in and she barely spoke and was very dismissive, I asked her if she had a street map she just pointed at a pile of maps on the counter, I felt very unwanted and it was a terrible first impression. They have a lovely bar with a piano player that was wonderful and my only other negative is the restaurant which is up the hill in a separate building is closed on Tuesdays so we had to find a breakfast restaurant.
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Our stay in the 4th-floor king room offered breathtaking views of the harbor, which was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The location was also very convenient for visiting Cadillac Mountain and Acadia National Park.
Additionally, the front reception staff were exceptionally friendly and provided us with excellent information about the area. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and would highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel staff were all very friendly. We paid for an ocean view room which was a little more pricey and didn’t have the views we were expecting because of the trees. There was still a view but should have been priced as a partial on floor 5. Floor 6 and 7 may of had an actual full oven view. There was NO free breakfast. They want to know how the free breakfast was and there wasn’t any breakfast period. You have to walk to a restaurant up the hill. The restaurant was great tho. It’s a little deceiving on there amenities a cook to order breakfast. I still have a 5 star because everyone was so nice and it was a very clean place. We would stay again and request 7th floor or just pay for a partial view.
The part of hotel we stayed in was a brand new tower. It exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious. The kitchen and living area was very nice and well equipped. We would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.
Very nice hotel. Love the great room. Night staff didn’t seem very familiar with hotel or surrounding area. Didn’t know how late the pool stayed open or where and when to catch town shuttle
We loved our stay at the Bluenose. We had a great room with a view of the harbor and our only regret is that we had a full schedule of activities and didn't get to take advantage of just hanging out on the deck.
The hotel and spa/work out areas were very clean. After dinner out we would return to the hotel and enjoy a cocktail while listening to the piano player. Highly recommend!
Charming older building that’s very well maintained. Our room had a stunning view of the Frenchman Bay—sunrise was a highlight. Comfortable beds, in-room coffee machine, plus extra coffee and water in the lobby. The massage chair was an unexpected treat. Clean, with luxurious toiletries. Walking distance to downtown and just a short drive to Acadia National Park. Peaceful, convenient, and relaxing stay.
