About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Shadow Dawn | Lovely Historic Southern Home | Sleeps 6!

Shadow Dawn will certainly impress you and your guests with all the charm and original detailing you'll want to experience while staying in a historic Beaufort home. Featuring brand new furniture and decor throughout the entire house, you will also enjoy the historic details of the home such as pine floors, crown molding, butler doors, and a gorgeous fireplace. (non-operational per SC state law).

Upon entering the home, you'll immediately notice the stunning high ceilings. This home is a great place for socializing with three common areas to gather with your friends and family. The living room features a large sofa, 2 sitting chairs, and a rocking chair. All surrounding an original fireplace and a new, wall-hung 65-inch Smart TV with Netflix. Moving towards the middle of the home, you'll find a beautiful dining room table with seating for eight.

An ultimate must-have for a southern home is a wrap-around porch and Shadow Dawn has just that. Featuring 6 rocking chairs and a lovely porch swing just grab your coffee and you are ready for a Lowcountry morning. Speaking of the spacious property and yard, there is a sizable driveway in front of the house so your vehicles can be protected from the street and comfortably fits three vehicles.

Another, not-to-be-forgotten, amenity is our spacious new kitchen with white cabinets, stainless steel and black appliances, and faux marble countertops. It is equipped with everything you need to cook up a meal or simply brew your morning coffee. There is also a new and sizable washer and dryer in the home. Two full bathrooms one has a bathtub/ shower combination and the other is a standup shower both include comfort-height counter-tops, brass details, and fresh towels.

Three bedrooms that each showcase a brand new queen-sized bed and comfortable furnishings. Two bedrooms are true master bedrooms with plenty of room to spread out and original pine floors that inundate the rooms with the charm you'd expect from your stay in a historic Southern home. The third bedroom is tucked away in the front of the house and smaller, but it is very cozy and still accommodates a queen-size bed and two guests.

Each room of our home was decorated with special care so that you can make the most of your time in Beaufort and feel at home in the beautiful and historic Hostess City of the South!

Should be called, #Daek Shadows" instead of "Shadow Dawn."
What a nightmare! The home has undergone some reno including both baths & kitchen sink & cabinets around it. Only the doors have security on them. We found 4 windows that wouldnt lock, there was no covering over the glass in the old front door & backdoor, an old "tree fort" was rotting in the overgrown front yard & side of house, threadbare linens & sheets that were stained/dirty. You couldnt enjoy the porch b/this house is at the intersection of 2 major highways so lots of motorcycles & big trucks would rattle the thin window panes. Traffic heavy from 5am til 11pm. New swing was broken. We left after 2 nights. The morning we left there was a fishing pole propped against the porch so someone had been there that morning. The owner did respond twice, once after I told him the garbage cans were overflowing & aparently an animal had gotten into one can & strown trash all over the backyard along w/broken glass. He sent someone the next am to get the trash & blow all the leaves off the porch. 2nd response was giving us the security code for the doors. I tried multiple times to reach him but got not response. This house should be removed from the VRBO site now & even then its always going to be noisy! First bad review Ive written in the 15yrs I've used VRBO. They have agreed to return my $ for the 2 nights we didnt stay after multiple pictures were sent. Ive also asked for the cleaning fee to be refunded b/c of the trash & linens. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY!
