Everything we needed was near to hand. The room was comfortable, and appeared clean, although I found several cobwebs, and reminded myself that this was an old building. I received a warm welcome and was informed of the history of the main house and given informationabout breakfast and the relaxing bar area. Breakfast orders are taken the evening before, and my order was delivered to the dining room at exactly the time ordered (it was hot, fresh and delicious). There are cereals etc already in the room. The choice is excellent and includes veggie/vegan options. Great coffee. The room was lovely and had everything needed for my stay - hairdryer, kettle and tea/coffee/milk. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Nice and quiet. The WiFi was good. There was a TV but i didnt use it. Great cooked breakfast. Good base for exploring this part of Suffolk coast. Southwold is about 4 miles away. Interesting and lovely place to stay within 10mins drive to Southwold. The accommodation is full of character and peaceful. The cooked breakfast was plentiful, of good quality and tasty. We liked the fresh croissants as well. We would have liked some fruit on offer as well as the orange juice already provided. Check in very easy and friendly.
