Quirky place with friendly and helpful staff in a beautiful location. Breakfast is excellent, with a view of the river. Annex rooms have river view balconies. This hotel is a work in progress with lots of updating still to do, particularly the outdoor areas, but the story of the new owner taking on the inn is admirable and it’s great to support an independent business. Close to the town, which has lovely shops and restaurants.

Room tried to be updated with some older elements. Parts of outside need maintenance and paint. Trying to keep it going. For price it's not bad. Loved creek in back. Peaceful sleeping. Patio locking not functional. Front door did lock but not overly sturdy feeling door. Older people stay here.

This is certainly a quirky place - don't expect the Ritz, but do expect to feel welcomed into the family home! The room was comfortable with a good sized bed, and the restaurant is good and not too pricey; breakfast was great! The location is lovely - just off the main road but with a river running just behind, and set in beautiful scenery. All very relaxed and homey.

It is a charming property, old style inn, I stayed in the main building (older). I slept well, however my son complained that he was woken up by adjacent room guest chatting in the night. It is an old building so this is expected. Beautiful backyard water stream.

The property was beautiful! The owner was very knowledgeable and very accommodating. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone in the area.

Wayside was a pleasant, quiet place to stay in a great area of the White Mts. It was very convenient to have dining available at the Inn. The second floor room was fine and very clean. The bed was very hard bed and the bathtub was downright dangerous with no grab rail and no mat to keep from slipping in the tub. The tub itself was surrounded by a slippery plastic shower curtain that was necessary if you wanted to use the shower.

The sound of the rushing river right outside the windows was very pleasant. This quaint property could use some freshening up and repair. We had a nice stay and would like to come back someday when it has a fresh face.

there was construction in the parking lot, but it wasnt diruptive of a nights sleep. balcony to the river. we left the balcony doors open all night to enjoy the river sounds. better than fan white noise...

We enjoyed our stay at the Wayside Inn. Staff were nice. Breakfast was delicious. Our room was clean and the view of the river was wonderful. Property is older but that was part of the charm staying at this inn.
