"Charming Historic Hotel The General Francis Marion is a great hotel with so much classic charm and history. The staff was friendly and welcoming from check-in to check-out. Our room was very clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable after a long day of travel. A solid, historic property that covers all the basics exceptionally well. Close to Grayson Highlands Hiking - We'd definitely stay here again!"

"I was traveling for a few weeks and has stayed at quite a few motels hotels and the Red roof was the best one so far. The only thing I found wrong with it was no hair dryer. Evidently they can't keep them I guess the guests like them better"

"Grounds were well kept and staff was friendly. Breakfast had great choices and was delicious. Decent shopping center nearby and lots of restaurants. Try dolly’s diner and shoneys for good food. Overall great stay and if I was to stay in the area again this would be the choice."
