I chose to stay at this hotel with my kids due to the proximity of what we had going on. I knew it would probably be to cold to enjoy the pool, but figured my kids would at least be able to go visit and or stick their feet in the water after a long day of hiking. Another bonus was the fact that they offered continental breakfast. I was not so fond of the idea of it having outdoor access, but after reviewing some photos and reading some other reviews i had overlooked this minor drawback.
Upon our arrival they provided notice that they have restricted much access to the lobby and have canceled the continental breakfast as well as drained the pool. They also were limiting the room service as well. This was supposedly due to COVID. I don't believe this is the case as transmission rates are substantially low and there has been no mask mandates.
While walking to our room, their were 2 doors that were not occupied that had their doors wide open. Once in our room, it looked decent with the lipstick upgrades, but the shower felt like it had a whole under the tub and the room was dirty with hair, dirt and grime. I believe alot of the changes and cut backs was due to financial reasons more then COVID. If i could have canceled and gone somewhere else i would have. Do not stay here, you are not getting what you pay for.
We wont be back! Hotels.com you should hold your businesses accountable for proper advertisement. In my opinion this was a false advertisement by the HOTEL.
