Oceanfront - Hot Tub - Newly Remodeled Cottage

Fox Kit Cottage offers an exciting ocean experience in sumptuous comfort. As you scroll through the pictures you will see there is nothing in Bodega Bay like it. Well-appointed, it has two bedrooms, one with a queen-sized bed, the other with two twin beds, and one bathroom. It is perfect for a romantic getaway or a vacation for a small family.

With its remodel in 2011and further enhancements in 2018, the cottage continues as an upscale retreat for its owners and guests. Sitting above Wright’s Beach, views dominate from nearly every room, and intense ocean scenes are customary. From the beautifully designed deck and spa, you will relax, unwind, and feel what the power of the sea can do for your soul.

The ocean is not the only attraction. There is wildlife everywhere. Birds, whales, and fox (the cottage’s namesake) are just a sampling. From two short paths – Monterey Pine Path, and Bluff Path, you will enjoy the coastal landscape and incredible views. The spacious lot hosts a majestic, intricately intertwined, 40-year old Monterey Pine tree, with a path under its canopy and a stone bench to sit and admire natural arbor artistry. The Bluff Path takes you down to a bench amongst the freshwater springs, flowering foliage, with the vast ocean below.

Furnishings reflect a commitment to clean contemporary design, local art, and attention to detail. Amenities include quality bedding, thick bath towels and robes, and natural toiletries, setting this home apart from others. Fantastic Time

My family and I stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed our time immensely. We loved watching the sunset from the hot tub. There were so many beaches close by to drive to, as well as the main town. Property was just as described and owner was quick to respond to any messages. My children also enjoyed the movie selection in the living room. We would definitely return!

Snuggly little beach house

We came for my fiancés birthday and stayed 2 1/2 days. We spoke with the property manager right before our arrival. She was super helpful and courteous. When we came in the home we found it just perfect for the four of us. It was super clean and comfy. We strolled down to the beach several times throughout our stay, and With the hot tub on the deck overlooking the ocean it was a perfect relaxing little Birthday get away. The sunsets were the icing on the cake!

Breathtaking

Foxkit cottage was very welcoming, relaxing, and perfectly curated to be both beautiful and comfortable. The hosts thought of everything that would be needed to make this little oasis a home away from home. Now, the total showstopper was having the majestic ocean as the backdrop to such a lovely home. We could not get enough of the sound of the crashing waves, and the hot tub…icing on the cake! We had an absolutely wonderful time connecting as a family. We definitely plan to book again.

Scenic Beauty

The view and location were AMAZING! I have never stayed anywhere with a more scenic and gorgeous view of the beach. The hot tub was fantastic as well. The beds and couches were all very comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful location and ocean view

It was amazing, the property was as advertised. The only hiccup was when we arrived the property was not ready. A cleaning crew arrived but thought we were arriving the following day so we left for a couple of hours while they cleaned the property. With that being said I would highly recommend this location. Sitting in the hot tub looking at the ocean was breathtaking. I would definitely stay there again!

A peaceful location with all the updates needed for your stay

What a beautiful home with all the amenities you would need for your stay. The house was newly remodeled, which made it very comfortable for my family with two kids ranging in age from 3 - 12. The deck with a hot tub overlooking Wright Beach was a great way to enjoy the sunset. I highly recommend this place if you want to get away from the bustle of Bodega Bay during a holiday weekend. You won't be disappointed.

Wonderful stay in Bodega Bay!

The pictures are completely accurate, and the views are stunning. Sunsets over the ocean were incredible! Note that getting to the beach is a short walk to Duncan's Cove then down a trail. The beach was never busy, even over the July 4th holiday. Also note that while temperatures inland reached over 100 degrees at times, the coast was high 60s to low 70s. Perfect for sitting on the deck in the warm sun and then cool air for sleeping at night. Driving around northern California was pure delight. You won't be disappointed!

Magical stay on the bay

We had an amazing, magical stay at Fox Kit Cottage. The home was so welcoming, warm, clean and well decorated. Newly remodeled, the home was a perfect blend of cozy, modern and beach home. The shiplap in the master was my favorite! The hot tub on the back porch made our weekend as we were able to utilize it between rain storms and the family/tv room nook with ocean views was perfect for morning coffee and family movie watching at night. We loved that the home is part of a private drive…not too close to neighbors and the view…let’s talk about the view!! The back slider opens up to picturesque views of the ocean.
