It okay hotel for the price But definitely need renovation

This people have water that smells like poop. Sewage water is what they use for water. Remnants of trash, sticky nastiness in drawers, air vents falling off ceilings. Random kids belts found? Candy stuck to floor? Trash wasn’t even taken out. Mind you I have kids that found these things as well. Oh and don’t even try and ask for them to refund you for their disgusting rental. They will give you the run around and then IGNORE YOU. Awful establishment and these people NEED TO BE SHUTDOWN.

We stayed at the Mansion for 3 nights on our first trip to Galveston. The Mansion is beautiful and well maintained. The location was ideal for our needs, close to the Strand and cruise ship port (we could see the top of the ships at port from our window) and only about a 5 minute drive to the seawall. We enjoyed seeing all the historic homes in the neighborhood. There was plenty of street parking right in front of the Mansion. The staff there were great, very helpful and knowledgeable regarding the area. As others have mentioned they do a great job with the morning breakfast service A note for SENIOR TRAVELERS as we are in our upper 60's. The ceilings in the Mansion are very tall so the flights of stairs to the upper levels are long, there is no elevator. We were on an extended trip around Houston so we had heavy bags, the stairs were a bit of a challenge. One other feature my 5' tall wife found a bit challenging was that the bathroom features a claw foot tub with a shower curtain enclosure. The side of the tub is tall and once inside there is no handhold or anything to steady yourself. I should say that 10 years ago we'd have thought nothing of either of these issues, 5 years in the future they may be a real problem. Hope this note may help others of our stage in life.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Easy check in. Great location near the airport. Super clean. Smelled really good. Good parking. Safe. Nice decor. Highly recommend.
