Once we got into the room, I tried calling around to 4 different places to not have to stay here, and all booked up. NO smoking room smelled like an ash tray, saftey lock broken, 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel in room looked like may have been left behind from before, fridge broke, hole in bathroom with a towel stuffed in it, not sure what was on other side, shower disgusting. “People” hanging around outside back side, sketchy to say the least. I spray everything in our motel rooms down with Lysol anyway , just a habit developed during Covid and do it even when we stay at the Hampton. Spent one night for my birthday, then drove 30 minutes to eat breakfast at Daniel Boone Inn . Location was great with several fast food restaurants, Ingles and a Dollar General walkable if forget any essentials. However, this is the wrist room I’ve ever stayed in and I am not picky. The whole room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, despite being “non-smoking”. I can deal with things I’m being run down but this place was falling apart. The lampshades were all burned up, the chair was missing its fabric and everything was worn out. I never could find the TV remote. People smoked outside our room and it came through the ac unit. Room was nasty dirty sheets never were changed had dirt and blood on them. Pillow case had greasy finger prints on them and one didnt even have a pillow case plus there was a whole in the shower wall i thought was a spider. Had to call down and ask for towels and clean sheets. Asked for different room but was told no. When we got out of our truck the car next to us smelt like dope and no one was in it. It was so noisy up to 1 am i didnt get any sleep. I dont recomend this place to anyone but the health department needs to go on and shut them down. Carpets are so dirty dont think they ever been cleaned. So disgusting. Think this is a place that drug addicts hang out since cars were in and out all night long and doors were slammed constantly. I finally went to our car and laid down in the back seat and slept. Just thankful i had brought a pillow and blanket from home. There was no ventilation in the bathroom, the sink drain was clogged, there was a gap under the entry door that allowed air in from the outside, also black mold in the bathroom by the corner of the tub. I asked for a refund and of course I made reservations so I had t forfeit a night stay?? It was a very busy weekend, I didn’t think I would find us a place? The place I found cost double amount, much smaller room, one bed, but very clean! Rooms are “non :smoking”, but still smell of smoke from the past. Check-in was fine. Had no towels in my room. Their “breakfast” is almost nothing. Didn’t even have coffee cups. Front desk worker was asleep in the morning. Noisy, can hear traffic outside. Hot water was good.
