It's such a stunning little piece of dream - We saw it back in October while driving around and wanted to check it out. We booked two rooms for one night with our friends (one with a dog). We made the reservations via expedia but the check in process took nearly half an hour because the lady (who was super friendly and sweet btw) kept mixing up and getting confused about the reservation details, credit card details, room details, our names etc etc. The rooms we got were in a separate new section of the building and the construction crew had ladders, wires and tools lying all over the front of the main door making it pretty hazardous to get in and out of the building. The sound insulation of the rooms was terrible - we could hear every conversation, door slam, footsteps of people from the side and the above and was difficult to sleep. The mattress was super hard as well - which did not help. The rooms and bathrooms were large and clean though (other than the STRONG dog smell). "The Table" - where breakfast is served was amazing - the food options were limited but what we got tasted great - there wasn't anything vegetarian though (my friends eat eggs so that helped) - although we informed them during check in about it - and also were given a specific slot when we were to go for breakfast. The space would feel much cozier with a rug and small table in front of the fireplace — without them, the fireplace feels underutilized and more decorative than inviting. The room lighting was also on the dim side; a floor lamp or some recessed lighting would help brighten it up. There was no telephone in the room and no hotel information provided — no details about restaurant hours, spa options, or nearby attractions. At check-in, the staff was friendly but didn’t offer much beyond the basics of breakfast hours and room location. Security could also be improved; exterior doors should be secured after dark. The biggest issue, however, was the bed. It had a deep dip in the center that made it difficult to sleep comfortably or stay flat — definitely a sign that it’s time for a replacement.
