Hotel was easy to find staff on reception were friendly and welcoming. Room was clean ,bed comfortable, shower was good.Lots of shops ,bars, cafe's nearby.
Would stay again.
Room was very comfortable and spacious the room was cleaned every day fresh towels coffee and milk topped up and bottle water.Very nicely placed to shops places to eat and drink train station close by.
Nice little room for what we needed. Very clean shared bathroom. Tom at reception was very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again. One thing I would advise is to book parking through JustPark as the car park to this place only has a handful of spaces.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Comfortable bed in basic room.
Very clean.
Good (if small) shower.
Good one night stay.
Difficult to find, as it's behind and above the Pick and Shovel Pub. The photo is of the neighbouring house down the side road by the entrance to parking, which is confusing.

I had a single room which was very small, the bathroom looks like a module from a caravan, stand in the shower to use the sink which had cigarette burns in it.
Welcoming staff and fairly quiet.
I can’t fault any of my stay at Elstree Inn. Great location, 10 minute walk to the train station, plenty of eating options on the main road, you are next door to Tesco, friendly host and a very clean room.
Enjoyed stay at elstree inn.
The gentleman on reception was very friendly. Comfortable beds. Tea and coffee in the rooms. Ideal location. Train station around the corner.
Excellent check in by a polite and kind gentleman. They listened to my kind request made in advance. Compact room but with all that's needed. Comfortable bed, clean sheets and bathroom. Quiet and private. Very good value for money in a well connected area of North London. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Highly recommended. Thanks

The staff were very friendly. We had booked two double rooms and one of them was much nicer and updated than the other which was frustrating. Our room was tiny, outdated and had a broken window. The noise coming from both inside and outside of the hotel was unbelievable but we were so tired we slept through on and off regardless. We also paid the £5 parking charge but returned at night after being in London to find there were no spaces so had to park on the street anyway? Not bad for a night but wouldn't stay any longer than that.
I managed to use the cash i accrued over the year due to hotels . com and ended up paying only £1.25 for a overnight stay in Borehamwood and was on the Martin Lewis money show being filmed across the road from the hotel we had a excellent night and even met the nicest manager Tom who was very helpful and polite positive and the staff in the local pub were so welcoming to me and my wife as we are from County Durham so our accents are noticed when we speak within ten minutes I had met another 2 people there who had the same first name as me so it made us feel more relaxed the only idea I could think to make it's service 10 stars is put a lift in there the stairs are a little steep for my wife as she gets vertigo but other than that your service is very good 👍

Basic but cheap
The place was basic, and exactly what I expected for the price, as I only really wanted a base to sleep for a couple of nights.
Good points were:
They had provided a fan, which I was really glad about with the temperature being 34 over the weekend I was stopping.
I could come and go as I liked, with no time restrictions as I was given a key to the front door.
There was a fridge in the room so I could buy drinks from the Tesco next door and chill them myself.
The man on reception when I booked in was very friendly.
Bad points:
The fridge threw out so much heat it actually heated the room substantially with it being such a small room.
The cotton linen was fitted over what felt like plastic coated matress, pillow and quilt, so with the room being so hot it made the bed wet from sweat and I really struggled to sleep.
On the Monday morning a lorry came to empty the bins at quarter to 2 in the morning and made no attempt to be quiet and woke me, after I had only managed to drop off shortly before.
I needed a shower when I woke as like I said above, I was sweating but with the bathroom being shared, I didnt feel I could shower at that time in the morning as it was unfair on other residents.
There location of the place is good being zone 6 so a travelcard is valid and it is just a 10 min walk to the train station.
Loads of places to eat
All in all, the main issue was the heat, which was beyond the control of the hotel, but there were things that could of been done to have helped.
