"The mattress on the bed was excellent, though the pillows could be better. The interior spaces were full of a huge array of fine antiques. The exterior spaces are under construction or in need of maintenance. Breakfast was a true Southern experience and a good fit if you are planning to bike the Virginia Creeper. The bathrooms are shared among the guests with the exception of the Honeymoon Suite, which is huge. The estate is minutes from the trail and the outfitters who support bikers and...

The property is beautiful, the people are nice and best of all… I got a great night’s sleep. The breakfast was fabulous - get the eggs benedict. My only complaint, which is minor, please serve tea with the correct temp of hot water. I know tea drinkers are the minority but hot water will go a long way with us.

Our stay was most enjoyable. Accomodations were great. Coffee 24/7!
Our hosts were friendly. The downtown location allowed us access to a grocery store, eateries, souvenirs, etc. We will return.

This is an older Motor Lodge with some room updates. The owners have done a good job with replacing old flooring with good tile and laminates, and good shower/tub area. Some new furniture pieces were also nice. Rooms are bigger than expected, which is nice for storing bikes and other recreation equip indoors. Vanity area could use some upgrades, but hard to beat this property for the price. Extremely nice folks at front desk (Miss Donna) and owner Danny. Oh and no breakfast but yes there is...

Great value for the price. Good location minutes away from the historic State Street. Basic amenities.Needs some maintenance: bathroom sink drained slowly and one entrance door out of order. Coffee was good. We could have used some tissues in our room.

The four-bedroom house was well appointed; the kitchen is huge. Get the Honeymoon suite if you can it's immense! The c.1880s decorations in the B&B are impressive. The broad back deck is very large. Access was easy and convenient. Laundry on the first level.
James' breakfasts are to die for, especially the hot biscuits and sausage gravy. James grew up here and knows all to be known. It's within a mile of downtown Damascus and across the street from a supermarket. Very convenient in all...
