"Clean room Breakfast was great Staff and as great"

The Painted Lady

8/10 Good

"Nice but basically an unattended VBRO. Have a number to call for “emergencies”. No mention our room was on 3rd floor with no elevator until we arrived. No coffee or tea pods available (any floor) Monday am but staff had clearly added water to the common area(s) Keurig. No response to texts sent to Ashely about pods or checkout. Parking lighting didn’t always work. Parking is lot that says hotel only but there is nowhere to register your car- so how do you know it won’t be towed? Door to room allowed a lot of light into room from hallway all night. Bed was comfortable. Location was convenient. Restaurants nearby are amazing. Upon leaving there was a sign to text a number to checkout. Would have been nice to have a text prompt or heads up before making you way to first floor w all your bags to then have to unload and text to a number only to have no reply. Hotel seemed overpriced. Wish reviews had reflected this info."

Homewood Suites by Hilton Birmingham Downtown Near UAB

8/10 Good

"I did not like that the hotel placed a hold of 421.00 on my card for a room that I prepaid 291.00 for. When I asked the desk clerk couldn’t explain past it is our policy. And the complimentary breakfast was totally below par. Then ran out of several essential items during breakfast time"
