"The visit was amazing. Oliver and Amelia welcomed us and helped us with our things as their lovely mom checked us in and showed us around. Owners are delightful, and we felt like we were with family right from check in. It is what a real lodge should be like, clean, cosey, rustic yet modern. We wish they were closer so we could go there often. The kitchen was clean, stocked with numerous food items for snacks and breakfast. All that one could want including watching deer from the porch swing, or sitting reading, play checkers or watch TV.. Local town is great too. It was a blessing to stay in Marlinton. Just be aware that the cell service is sporadic in the area and GPS can be a problem. If you have trouble with stairs ask for rm 1 as it is on the 1st floor. "

"The hotel was very clean. We were late arriving and the clerk called me and text instructions on retrieving the room key. Everyone was very nice. The only issue was the air conditioning unit was loud. Would definitely stay here again!"

"This was by far the best airbnb we've stayed at. Very accommodating and clean. Jim was very quick to answer any questions we had.We were a group of 6. 4 adults, 2 kids & 2 dogs. There was plenty of space for all of us. Dont forget to check out the little waterfall on the property. Its not a far hike at all. The trail can be easily missed if you dont know its there.If you walk down from the firepit toward the hot tub & turn left theres a partially mowed path. Keep following the path to the forest. Youll hear the water. The views were spectacular! The sun sets over the mountains in the backyard which was pretty to see.Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us!"

Our group absolutely loved this unit - it was perfect for our weekend getaway to the 4848 Festival. By far, this has been our favorite place to stay at Snowshoe. Highly recommend!"

"We had a wonderful stay in this West Virginia home on the Greenbrier River. The home was beautiful and well maintained and the location was perfect for our planned activities of kayaking, fishing, and relaxing.While on or near the property we saw deer, eagles and other wildlife and we were on the river every day.Sitting on the porch overlooking the river was fantastic, with chances for being both outside and on the screened in porch when it rained.The check in process was clear and easy. We would definitely love to stay in this home again."

"We vacationed with our children and their families. The house was very clean and met all of our needs. You need to bring most of your food, as the only grocery is a small IGA market and a Dollar General. The local gift shop was awesome offering a coffee bar and baked goods along with souvenirs. The area is pretty secluded but very close to Snowshoe Mountain resort where we got day passes for swimming. Also, the historical town of Cass featured train rides and little shops. We took long hikes up the mountain road close to the house and saw lots of deer, rabbits, and heard birds chirping. We set up a baby pool and water bounce house in the back yard for the little ones and it was a perfect spot. We were hesitant of using the charcoal grill, but it proved to be more than adequate for steaks, burgers, and brats. We loved the decks and the fire pit for cooking s'mores. If you love nature and getting away from the business of life, this is the place for you. Brian was a great host. "
