Easter Weekend
We spent Easter Weekend at Cane River Cabin and it was fantastic. The property was absolutely beautiful with the river running right thru the backyard. We all fished and caught some trout and really enjoyed sitting out back by the fire, listening to the river flow by at night. There was firewood for the fire pit and the house was stocked with everything we needed. The house was extremely clean and very comfortable. We had a nice cookout for Easter with the grill on the back porch. We had so much fun that we all want to make this an annual event. I recommend this property to anyone that wants to enjoy a peaceful family getaway.

Weekend getaway
We have visited this property three times which may give you an indication of how much we enjoy it! The house is perfectly comfortable, plenty of room for my family (with 3 young adult children) to sleep and hang out in the living room and at the large dining table or outside on the lovely, big back porch overlooking the river. Two full bathrooms. Well stocked kitchen. During warmer months, so much fun to wade in the river, throw rocks, fish. During colder months, so lovely to build a fire by the river and make s’mores! Easy access to town, groceries, restaurants but just far enough! We’ve had a couple little check-in issues but nothing that wasn’t quickly managed by the property manager. We will definitely be back!

Came River Cabin
We came to your property to have a place to sleep, and to park our motorcycles at night. We ride motorcycles in the mountains during the day and have done that once or twice a year for the last 16 years. Your cabin was exactly as advertised, and we had a very enjoyable stay. It is the sort of place we would return to. One of the members of our group lives in Burnesville, making it uniquely convenient for our purposes. Thank you very much for your kind hospitality.

This property is amazing, spacious inside, with a beautiful view and access to the cane river. What more could you ask for in a rental. I could sit on the porch and watch/listen to the river all day. Our group had a great time!

Weekend on the Cane
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We came up for Memorial Day weekend and got rained out. We made the best of it and enjoyed out scenic view from the porch as well as stoke the fireplace since it was in the 40s at night. Here are my pros and cons. Pros: river in backyard, great fishing locations along the roadside, fireplace, close to Burnsville. Cons: dogs barking, close to the road, some dishes were dingy.

Perfect fishing vacation with little ones!
We missed the cabin so much- we came back as soon as we could! We loved fishing and playing in the river, barbecued outside the deck, hung out in the beautiful covered patio. Highlight was the fire pit and making s’mores under the stars. Thank you for sharing this beautiful special place. My only regret is that I made a mistake of thinking check out was an hour later so we were late to check out. Thank you, Ms. Joyce, who has been taking care of the Cabin for 27 years and Ms. Ann, who manages the cabin, for your kindness and understanding! We look forward to coming back in October!

Perfect family get away…
Woke up early morning, drank coffee on the porch while watching my dad and the grand kids fish. Grocery stores, a couple of restaurants, and a cute little downtown 7 minutes down the road for last minute dinner ideas and antiquing. The kids were constantly occupied with the river and enjoyed being at the cabin. Several trails and places to hike fairly close and even a drive into Asheville wasn’t bad. Thanks so much for this year’s family mountain getaway 2022. Pretty sure we have found a new spot.

River Dream
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this home. It had everything we needed and it was close to all the things we wanted to do. The home itself had all the appliances you can think of (actually the one thing I couldn't find was a pizza cutter). We cooked all of our meals, so it was nice to have a grocery store nearby, a grill on the property, and even a blender (we made smoothies). We also had our dog with us and he very much enjoyed the screened in back porch. We spent our days hiking nearby, visiting little Switzerland, the blue ridge parkway, and downtown Burnsville. My husband loved being able to walk out the back door to the river and fish any time well into the evening. Our kids (12 and 3 years old) also loved the river where we swam, skipped stones, and fished (along with our pup). The only reason we didn't give this 5 stars is that the week we stayed there it got very warm, even at night. We followed all of the instructions to try and keep the home cool, but it wasn't enough and I run very warm. We have always stayed at cabins with no A/C but they were always further up a mountain and therefore cooler all day long. If there were a few more floor fans available (there were some just think I needed more), I think it would be more manageable. Ann was very responsive and very interested in working with us with any request we made. I would stay here again any time!

Lovely cabin outside Burnsville
This is a wonderful and comfortable Cabin, nicely furnished, with updated bathrooms and kitchen. The setting is lovely. We stayed three nights with our daughter, enjoying nearby Mt. Mitchell and several waterfall hikes, as well as visiting Mars Hill. The road the cabin sits on has some traffic, so caution should be exercised when walking. Also, if the house cleaners could be responsible for garbage removal, that would be great. Guests are required to dispose of garbage, which posed a small but interesting challenge for us. That said, all in all, we were very happy with Ann's responsiveness to our questions and with our stay. We would definitely choose it again.

This Log Cabin Home is a real Gem!
This log cabin home is a real gem! Super clean, super quiet, perfectly furnished and sitting on the banks for the Cane river. Our dog especially loved the river as we were able to throw sticks in the river for her to retrieve. The current was very slow moving and only about waist deep at it's deepest part. There was a nice fire pit outside for evening fires and s'mores. The main town of Burnsville is about 10 min from house which made for an easy drive into town for supplies. We absolutely loved it here as did our 16 year old son who loved skipping rocks across the river. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay! We hope to be back soon.

Mountain River Find
Very tidy cabin that comfortably slept 3 couples. Great screen porch overlooking the river. In the country but an easy 7 minute drive to town. They road is a bit busy but we appreciated not having to go way up on the mountain on a bumpy road as has happened in the past. Ann was great giving us instructions and even provided firestarter and wood. It was too cold to get inthe river so we want to come back during the summer.
