Riverside Luxury In The Blue Ridge Mountains

Trillium is a pet friendly cabin. Please see the last paragraph of this description summary for pet fees and pet policies...

Please note that a mailing address will be requested for the reservation file upon booking this home.

Trillium at RIVERWALK...Private, Cozy AND Immaculate! Spend a weekend or a week in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Great location for every season of the year!

Pet rates and policies are spelled out in the last paragraph of this description.

Trillium provides a large, private hot tub just outside the front door on the deck. Sit in one of the front porch rockers to enjoy the view of the Cane River and the horses in the pasture along the rivers border. At night, look up and be amazed by the abundant number of stars in the sky like you've never seen before.

What would a mountain cabin be without the scent and warmth of a wood burning fireplace? Each of our cabins has a wood burning fireplace. We provide free and unlimited wood for our guests so you can enjoy cozy fires all day and all night, if you'd like.

If you demand comfort and ease while away from home, you'll find it here! Each kitchen is equipped as if it were our own for year round use. We also provide a starter supply of coffee, the filters, sugar and artificial sweetners so you can arrive late, if necessary, and without feeling pressure to immediately run out for supplies. Starter toilet paper, paper towels and bath soap are provided. Dish soap, dishwasher soap, and laundry soap are provided in unlimited supply. If you need something out of the ordinary, let us know. Chances are we can make it available. Once you check in we want you to sit back and relax.

Comfort, we demand it and so should you! Every guest will rest well in our beds. Our mattresses are all Simmons Beautyrest and guests continue to give our beds the highest marks. Trillium cabin sleeps up to 4 guests. The master bedroom has a queen bed while the loft bedroom upstairs provides guests the option of either a pair of twin beds or a single king size bed. Simply specify your preference when booking the reservation. Each of the 2-floors has a full size bathroom. If there are infants or toddlers joining you, a Pack-n-Play porta crib is available upon request.

High speed wireless internet, a landline telephone and extended basic cable the best cable TV is all included with our cabins.

Get out and see the surrounding area or stay on the property for your entire vacation (which is what many repeat guests enjoy doing). All the property surrounding our cabins is family owned and available for exploration by our guests. The neighboring barn and horse riding arena are owned by Laura's parents, Paul & Judi Ewing (the original Riverwalk cabin owners). While trail riding is not available, guests may book a social visit with Judi's horses just by giving her a call. Her phone number is listed in the Welcome (information) Book in the cabin. Kids especially get a kick out of learning how to care for and groom a horse. Donations made on behalf of the Yancey County Humane Society are appreciated (but not required).

Two private, family owned, riverside parks are available for guest use as well. Between these two parks guests can enjoy river tubing, a youth zip line (110 lbs or less), fabulous trout fishing, a LARGE fire pit and a covered picnic pavilion with grill. Laura also owns an outdoor event venue on the adjacent property to Riverwalk. Sunset Gatherings provides a beautiful setting for outdoor events of all types, including (but certainly not limited to) weddings, family reunions, birthdays, etc...lodging discounts are available when in association with a Sunset Gatherings event.

2-wheel drive vehicles are usually adequate to get to and from the cabins to the state road. If you have any difficulty whatsoever, we live just around the corner and are available to help you 24/7.

PETS:
While we are pet friendly, we do have a fee and minor requirements: The fee for a single pet is $75, 2-pets is $100. These fees apply whether booking for a couple of days or longer. VRBO has a "pets" box to check if you plan to travel with pets, but limit the ability to spell out fees and terms. If you are bringing pets, but forget to check the box or include in your initial email to me, I will ask.
We do not permit pets on the furniture, on the beds or use any of the cabin linens for pets (regardless of size or habit). This said, please be sure to bring comfy accommodations for your pets.

Thank you :-)

Great get away
We loved this place. The house was clean and comfy. The river was a short 3-5 minute walk or quick drive to get to. We brought floats and an anchor and played in the river most of our stay. The hot tub was perfect in the evening for 4 adults. The little Town was fun to visit as well. Would stay here again.

Great Location with a View, however…
Good communication and directions initially prior to our visit. The written departure directions were fairly straightforward. We had noticed that there was a gas grill so we were prepared to use it but noticed that the burners were badly rusted out and failed to heat up to grilling temps. Also, there were mice on the main floor bathroom- kinda grossed me out- luckily we didn’t stay there long and went hiking most of the time. Not too pleased about that part- all I could think about was the movie “Willard”. I have photos of the fresh mice droppings in the bathroom area but nowhere to post here - probably a good thing. We left a message with the property owner but didn’t hear back.

Amazing, beautiful mountain retreat
This place has enough on it's own to keep you happy, but you can hit the Pisgah national forest for breathtaking waterfalls or hikes (short or long as you want). Burnsville is a nice, quaint town with enough going on for options, but also not ruined by the hustle of the modern world. Watch stars from the hot tub and snuggle up by the fireplace. Owners are extremely responsive and detail oriented. 10/10.

Good cabin
The cabin was clean and fully furnished with kitchenware. The location is not ideal but hikes were a short drive away. The hot tub was great for relaxation at the end of the day. The bed mattresses need to be replaced. The property owners had 4 horses in the pasture that were very friendly.

Burnsville NC
We had a nice time despite all the rain. Burnsville is a lovely little town with many great places to eat and explore. The only down side is the driveway into the cabin is quite overgrown and full of potholes. Could use a couple of loads of stone on the driveway and road in.

Amazing Cabin Getaway!
Wow! We booked this cabin for my husband’s birthday weekend. Even though it was dark out when we arrived the directions to the cabin were super easy to follow. The cabin had everything we could possibly need. Loved the quiet location and of course the hot tub on the porch was amazing! The owner was very easy to get in touch with and answered our messages quickly. Also love that we could bring our dog with us! We would definitely book here again and would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a weekend getaway.

Perfect mountain escape!
“Trillium”, this lovely cabin could not have been more perfect. The location was great; far enough away from town to feel the mountain air but close enough to make a stop at the local grocery store. So many good trails nearby not to mention being RIGHT ON THE WATER! 💚 Asheville was a short drive away and well worth the visit to see the local shops and breweries. The directions given in the app were very accurate. We had absolutely no issue finding the correct place. The cabin itself was PERFECT! Clean! Well stocked! Well equipped! The kitchen had everything we needed and the VERY CLEAN HOT TUB was an absolute treat. An endless supply of firewood for the chilly months will make anyone smile. We will DEFINITELY be returning to this beautiful spot again soon. The owner was so accommodating and in good contact. We cannot RECOMMEND this place enough.
