My sister and I really enjoyed our stay at the Mount View Hotel in Calistoga. The room was small, but the hotel was nice & quiet, even though our room was at the back, near the pool & jacuzzi. At one point, we had the jacuzzi to ourselves both nights, and the pool was nice and quiet with plenty of lounge chairs available. The hotel has a great location, right on the main street. I would stay here again.

Specious suite with king bed. Nice and airy room. The full tub in a room by itself was a nice touch even though we did not use it. We did use the large shower with double heads and excellent water pressure. Pool and hot tub were well maintained and very refreshing. Highly recommended romantic getaway.

Sadly, this hotel is no longer the beautiful boutique hotel we first fell in love with 15 years ago. We first visited about 15 years ago and were immediately impressed by its charm and character. Since then, we have returned several more times, and until this stay, we had always had a good experience and continued to think of it as a special place. Unfortunately, this visit was completely different. It felt like the hotel had gone significantly downhill. The smell in the foyer was extremely unpleasant, the pool area was dirty, and there were no pool towels available. Even the complimentary drinking water had a strong mold-like smell, which was very concerning. I don’t know if there has been a change in ownership or management, but it certainly feels that way. The attention to detail, cleanliness, and overall care that we experienced during our previous stays seem to have disappeared. It is truly sad and disappointing to see a place we once loved change so much. We have wonderful memories of this hotel, but unfortunately, after this stay, we will not be returning.

We loved the location in downtown Calistoga in east walking distance to restaurants and wine tasting. Very comfortable and quiet room, and lovely pool and mineral hot tub area.
